One of those few conversations that turn into a beautiful adventure was what I experienced last Sunday. I've been in this community for almost a year and the experience haven't been all beautiful but I am to blame for it, I didn't let myself go out and explore what the community might have to offer. The community don't have the basic necessities to get me interested in other aspects.

Well, that was until last week when a person from here talked about the community having a spring water spot that a lot of them visit for the cleaniest form of water. I got curious and my friend got curious too, we made it a date to visit the place last Sunday evening and we really did.

On our way there, honestly, we had some unnecessary doubt if the guy who talked about the place was tricking us to a place we can't even scream for help lol. It was a crazy thought but every aspect of that journey prompted it. It was all bushy until we got to clear but quiet road and saw people going and coming back from there.

It was a fun journey as the guy showed us a lot of well built beautiful houses on the way and went on about stories behind some of the houses, we felt the journey was too long but the stories somehow kept us going and hoping that it will all be worth the stress at last. We went with a small water can to get the supposed clean water lol.

It was a Sunday evening so we kinda guessed we would find a few people there but it wasn't the case, more people kept coming before we left there. We heard the place was very crowded when many came for the holidays, I kinda wished I had visited it then but it wasn't so bad to visit it that day too, kept asking questions as we watch.

Learning about how the water came to existence which is a mystery even to them was interesting. And then we learnt about some stereotypes the people seem to have come up with in preserving the water for the decades it has been there. One of the stereotype is, ladies don't go near where the water springs from and noone goes inside.

We saw that they created a demarcation between where people can stay to fetch from the water and where the water springs from. It was a very local kind but as we heard, it's been like that for many decades. I must say, the surrounding isn't well taken care of as there are waste disposals littered everywhere and then slippery grounds.

It was interesting to see how the people value that spot so much, we heard people travel from even farther distances to get water from the place. I didn't see how clean it is that could be different from other water but I was fascinated by how it kept rushing with no stop. I took a drink from it and it was still same water taste lol.

I'll say it was worth visiting regardless of the long distance we had to walk but I'm very sure I'd have no reason to visit again except I'm given a ride to the place lol. We took lots of pictures on our way back as the road was even calmer, the sun set beautifully and my friend suggested a few shots that turned into many, smiling at every nice shot.

The video above will show you more about the spring water spot we visit, make sure to see where the water springs from, it is fascinating. I apologise for taking the video shot in a landscape format, you can see it clearly if you double tap on the video to watch in full screen. I do hope you enjoyed our evening adventure.

Wow, this was indeed an adventure. It felt like I was with you there especially that part when you guys tried to go down to the stream, hehe.

Thanks for sharing this with us. And I’m not surprised that you won’t want to go there again except you have a ride. 😂

Haha going down was hilarious 😂
The place is too far to go again without a ride really.

Was the alhaja scared of going down? She was taking one step slowly. Lol
Places like this do excite me too especially when I start hearing stories that has been kept for decades and still follow till today.
For the waste disposals, they need to find ways to make the area clean since the water is meant for all purposes by the people. Nice adventure 😇

Haha we couldn't stop laughing when we were going down.
I hope they take that into consideration, it really looked messy.

One of the beauty of Africa
