It's been a few months since I posted about my study journey while working in Hong Kong. Instead of traveling and blogging, I spent most of my Sundays studying. This has also impacted my online activity on Hive, and writing articles is only possible when I have the spare time to write. This journey is coming to an end. On Sunday will be my examination day followed by the graduation ceremony on the same day. This gives me a sense of excitement just like the old times.
Instead of dining outside, my desk has been my dining and study area. I like to put things that way. Food is a great comforter and brain booster, hehe.
My eagerness to expand my knowledge helped me manage my job responsibilities and educational pursuits responsibly. I also felt like I grew professionally. It's not an easy task to transition from my work obligations to studying. Despite the difficulties, it's thrilling juggling from one thing to another like a busy bee, and I like the sense of achievement and fulfillment at the end of the day.
My contract will also end eventually after the end of my study. It's a mixed bag of feelings, both sad and excited, as I consider where my life will take me after this journey. It is still possible that I will return to Hong Kong because it is easier and faster to process applications to foreign countries than it is in my home country – slow and complicated. At the same time, I'm considering taking a break to recuperate, as I believe I need it the most right now. It will undoubtedly be difficult for me to return to my home country while being unemployed. There would be a new set of obligations, and inflation is something I worry about a lot. It might put my savings at risk, lol.
Since I'll be extending my stay here after the end of my contract because my family is coming to have a vacation, I'll be moving some things to a boarding house. My friend recommended the boarding house where she stays, so we met last Sunday. We both purchased new luggage because she will be visiting the Philippines in July for a holiday.
It's been a few years since we last saw each other, so that day was like a little bonding as well. We were at Mongkok and visited Langham Place to look for a place to eat our lunch. We visited the food court and dined in at a Thai Chill food stall. We shared the Thai seafood fried rice and it was tasty and satisfying.
At past three, we decided to leave the city and went out to see the boarding house. It is quite far from the city area but quite near to the neighborhood where I currently am.
I later found out that it's the same neighborhood where I explored the abandoned Yu Yuen Mansion in Yeun Long Town. It's quite remote and I had difficulty moving my stuff. It will be challenging again once I move my things out alone. For now, I'm focusing on reviewing our lessons in preparation for the examination on Sunday.
Thanks for your time.
