Welcome in this post I share a new little unit I got for 3d printing, I may be a masochist because why I do this to my self 🤣
Anyway lets get into it, this thing is a pellet extruder most 3d printers used roll of filament for 3d printing but this unit can use plastic pellets, you may be wondering why bother, well you see sometimes prints fail and end up being thrown out also even if everything goes well there is some waste as the support structures are useless after a print is done and just go in the trash.
With this unit I should be able to chop down the plastic waste in a blender and then use this pellet extruder to give these failed prints and supports a new life.
I can also potentially take plastic bottles and grind them down and use them to print stuff
I got this form china it has a lot of 3d printed parts and I could have potentially bought the non printed parts and deign and print my own but that would be a lot more work, unfortunately I still have to do some design I need to design and print a mount so that I can set it up on one of my printers and also I will need to design and print something to hold the part cooling fan, maybe some other stuff like a bigger hopper but first I need to see if this thing is gonna be any good 🤣
Hopefully it all works out and I can get rid of my 3d printed waste and potentially even recycle some plastic bottles and such to make some ecofriendly products.
