If you been following the blog you probably seen my 3d printed fender I made for my scooter long story short it took a lot of trial and error and I caused some damage to the tire in the process.
After my fix I noticed some blue marking on the tire signifying that it needs to be changed, well I left it on and it held for a while but this Monday coming back from work I noticed the scooter was going slower than usual and when I stopped I realized I had a flat on the back tire.
I managed to slowly ride home, and now I needed to get it fixed
I actually had a full spare tire with the motor build in, this scooter I got free I had another but had some issues with it and the manufacture sent me a brand new one free of charge.
I threw out the old one I only kept the battery and the tires/motor
I got to working and I took off the tire and installed my old one that is in much better condition.
I turned on the scooter but it was not working I thought that somehow I broke it but I left it to charge and started to look for a replacement incase my scooter would not come back to life.
Well after it charged I tried again and it seemed to work, I am guessing the battery got super drained getting me back with a flat but after the charge I was back in business also the disk used for braking on the tire was a bit warped reducing the breaking power but this old tire disk is fine so now I got a tire with a good thread and better disk break
I am really glad I had this extra tire/rim combo as changing the tube is a hassle, I did it many times before and it's a real struggle, I am glad I got it sorted and don't have to buy a replacement scooter just yet I already got more then a year out of it and hope to squeeze out some more .
