Oh no bitcoinman did you buy another printer ??? Not yet 🤣
As some of you may know I do recreational therapy and I work with a fairly gifted man that suffers from degenerative ataxia, this greatly effects his motor skills but he doesn't let that stop him from creating.
He has been into 3d design long before I was in the picture but not long after we started working together his folks bought him his first 3d printer it has been a bit of a headache but luckily I am there and managed to fix the issue and it has been working fairly well recently.
Well on the 19th was his birthday and his folks got him a new printer!
it may look familiar and that is because I have the same model however I have 2 Ace color units letting me print with up to 8 colors.
I came in one day to work and I noticed the printer partially assembled, his dad put a bit of it together but there was still a bit to do and also a few things to switch around to make it work right, very quickly I noticed the bed on this new printer was wobbly not a great look, I was able to adjust some screws to tighten it also the poop shoot was not lined up properly I had to bend it a bit but that did the trick and it seemed to be working well
Right above you see both his printers working, and I think it is pretty wild we both got the same machine however mine was fine out of the box I assembled and started printing, his however needed a bit of tinkering, it was nothing major and I have a lot of experience but I image some folks would try struggle and have to send it back, realistically 3d printing is not plug and play some machines are easier than others and sometimes you can get lucky but sooner or later things need to be diagnosed, repaired/replaced
