I barely go on vacations anymore. Since we moved back home, vacations are from school to home. Maybe you can classify that as a form of vacation since I used to school in a different town. But for me, they were just holidays. So, on one of these holidays, my brother and I got back from school and I basically had one of the vacations of my life.
I finally started something I had on my plate for more than a year and also got a change of scenery. I have always wanted to be more cautious of my physical health for as long as I can remember. In the past, my brother and friends of ours used to run on weekends and top it off with playing football early in the morning. It used to be very therapeutic because we had the chance to stay fit and also connect with each other during the weekends.
So during this vacation which is almost 2 years now, I started to gym. If you know me, you know I always talk about gyming. For me, I don't want to go to the gym to necessarily get a very big body. I want to work well on my physical health and so use the gym to its full capacity. When I started gyming, the gym I was using was not as I expected. It was more of a body building environment than what I always wanted. I decided to try it for a while but I wasn't enjoying the facility so I stopped after some time.

That vacation started off very well because I had finally used the gym. I also got the chance to travel to Ghana's capital with my brother to see my aunt. I had been in the North for too long without travelling that the opportunity came at a right time. I'm very much an indoor person but once in a while, man has got to see the outside world don't you agree? Hehe
So, when my aunt invited us to come spend some time with her and her our cousins, we agreed and went to Accra. My aunt is my direct opposite and likes to explore so though I knew there'll be a lot of outings which would mean I wouldn't spend a lot of time at home, I prepared myself for the impending adventure.
Purchasing knockouts
When we got to her place, it looked like she already had the entire stay planned out. It was during the Christmas festivities and so we went to the market to get some fireworks or "knock out" as we like to call it here. My cousins and I bought some and disturbed the neighborhood. As kids in Ghana, the holidays are the best time to use these things and get away with it. I still remember how we used to make so much noise as kids with knockouts and using it during that vacation brought so many memories.
In the mall
We went to malls, we went to the Ghana Museum and other places where we had a lot of fun. We also drove around the city during the night and that was fun. We did a lot of these stuff with my cousins and connecting them during that vacation made things more interesting.
That whole vacation was a very interesting one and it being the last vacation I went is still kind of fresh in memory.
