Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge for this week. I am back with an entry to this week's challenge which unlike many of my previous entries is not battle related. Today, I want to bring to your notice an important yet interesting feature which has been added to the splinterlands game. Sit tight as I take you through this update.
A lot of the splinterlands enthusiasts', that is both veteran players and new players know that one thing about splinterlands which is helpful is the option for card rentals. This helps everyone in the spl ecosystem. Veteran players can rent out their cards via the market while earning dec while new users and other veteran players can rent cards from the market to boost their chances of winning battles.
The more tiring rental system
What to rent to improve your playing experience as a newbie can be tricky and cumbersome with the process involved if you want to rent several cards. Having to choose the cards first in each renting phase, the days, the payment method and then finally confirming can be tiring. That is why the splinterlands team has seen it helpful to introduce a feature that will make this process a whole lot easier and stress free. Are you wondering what this feature is?
This is the "1-CLICK RENTALS". From the name itself, you can already infer as to what this means. This new feature added during the last game update allows users to rent cards with just one click. Also known as Set Rentals, you can rent a total of 136 cards from the market with just one click. Awesome right?
Set Rentals
With this feature, there is no need to go through the rental process 136 times but rather, just click once and you get all 136 cards. This feature comes with a predetermined time frame. This time frame is tied to the season which means if you are renting when the season is just beginning, you are renting for a total of about 10 days. If the season is about 3 days from ending, you are renting for 3 days and if the season ends in a day, your 136 card rental lasts for just a day. And of course, the cost varies for the time frame. At the time of writing, the costs ranged from 170 $DEC to 249 $DEC (120.836 CREDITS - 176.989 CREDITS).

You just do not rent the cards blindy. There is an option to view the cards each player is renting out from the group. So, whichever appeals to you, you just simply decide to either pay with credits or with DEC in just 1-click.
Card rental templates allowing for card views before renting
This is a feature I believe will be very helpful to especially new players of the splinterlands game. Nonetheless, this will also be very helpful to older players who are looking for cards to rent. I do hope the community takes liking to this update and makes good use of it. More updates will be made to the game and to this feature as well.
