Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge for this week. I will be sharing and describing one of my battles for which I discovered a new strategy. For this battle, I used my account @yahuzah which is my spl account for all battles.

Summoner chosen
For this battle, I chose Astral Entity . I chose this because it had the dodge ability, the -2 shield ability and the rebirth ability. This summoner removed 2 shields from all the monster's of my enemy's and gave all my monsters the ability to dodge ranged and melee monsters. It also meant, the first dead monster on my team would be reborn. This felt like the best summoner choice for the battle.
The ruleset meant that only melee attack monsters could be used.
Checking battle history proved vital because it informed me my enemy would bring monsters from the water element and my enemy didn't have monsters with the thorns ability.
I selected Cursed Windeku to be in first position because it could only attack in the first position and also had the thorns ability. This was definitely going to help me.

I selected Arachine Thug for second position because this had the reach ability, a melee attack of 2, speed of 3,, shield 3 and health 5. Arachine Thug could attack from the second position.

For the third position on my team, I still had about 2 mana left so I selected Venator Kinjo to be in my last position. This monster had camouflage and reflection shield. It couldn't be attacked unless in first position and it couldn't receive thorns, blast and magic reflect.

Battle Details
Summoner and units buffs took effect and the battle began.
Attacks were rendered to both teams, my enemy attacked first with his first monster and received a damage of -2 thorns which resulted in -2 shield and my monster received -2 health damage.
I then attacked with my first and second monsters removing the shield on my enemy's first monster. My enemy attacked with his opportunity monster, deeplurker and removed the shield on my second monster.
At the end of round 1, no monster was killed on either team.
Round 2 started just like round 1 did which resulted in my first monster to have 5 health and my enemy's first monster received a thorns damage of -2 health. I attacked my enemy's first monster with my second and missed while my enemy's deeplurker attacked my first monster reducing its damage to 2 and receiving a return thorns damage of -2 health.
At the start of round 3, my enemy's first monster missed its attack on my first monster while my first and second monsters attacked and killed my enemy's first monster.
My enemy's deeplurker killed my first monster but received a thorns damage of -2 health. My first monster was then reborn and my enemy's new first monster, Hardy Stonefish missed its attack.
In round 4, my first monster killed my enemy's Hardy Stonefish. My second monster also killed my enemy's deeplurker.
In round 5, my enemy's remaining monster attacked my first monster, killed it but my monsters did a return thorns damage and killed my enemy.
