Hello everyone, this is my entry to the splinterlands battle mage secrets challenge for this week. I will be sharing and talking about one of my battles. For this battle, I used my account @yahuzah which is my spl account for this battle.

Battle Rulesets

Ruleset IconDescription
image.pngBack to basics : Monsters lose all abilities

This means that units who attack twice cannot do that, units who have void, phase and dodge abilities lose them and units who attack the last monsters lose all those abilities.

This ruleset means that all monsters attack as they as supposed to so selecting those with high damages, speed, shield and health are a good way to go.

My enemy's Lineup

Summoner chosen

For this battle, I chose the Tarsa summoner. Since no monster could use any of their abilities, I chose this summoner because I would get +1 health and +1 melee.

Battle Tactics

Checking battle history didn't seem needed because of no added advantage so I didn't check the battle history.

I decided to pick melee monsters who could attack. I chose Grum Flameblade in first position because of its high melee, high shield and high health. This way regardless of the attack minded monsters my enemy brought, I would be prepared.

I selected Technowizologist for second position because this was magic attack which would directly hit the health.

For the last position on my team, I chose Xenith Archer who had a ranged attack of 2 and would attack my enemy's first monster.

Battle Details

Summoner buffs took effect and the battle began.

Attacks were rendered to both teams and at the end of round 1,
I killed my enemy's first monster and had damage done to my first monster. The high health and shield proved to be useful.

image.png

As round 2 started and continued, more damages were made and I killed my enemy's second monster. At the end of round 2, I killed my enemy's third monster.

image.png

At the end of round 3, I killed 2 more of my enemy's monsters and had none of mine killed.

image.png

At the end of round 4, I had all my monsters still in position while my enemy had one. With two attacks, I killed my enemy.

I’m not familiar with most of the monsters you used here. I am familiar with the summoner though, and I think that was a wise choice.

What was the mana cap of the battle? Also, I thought you couldn’t entirely use a magic monster at all? I see you have in your line up.

As you play more, you’ll get to see these monsters. Yeah Tarsa can be very helpful 😅

Naa the ruleset didn’t remove the use of magic cards. You can use magic cards

mmm interesting

Yay! 🤗
