Hello everyone, welcome to my blog as I make my entry to this week's social media challenge. This week's challenge is a special one. Are you aware splinterlands has been in existence for a long time? Six long years to be precise. I myself, was surprised the game has been in effect for more than 5 years.
Web3 and crypto gains grounds everyday and as we are looking for more ways to invite web2 users to use web3, we can agree that gaming is a market that has a huge userbase to tap into. Games are meant to be fun and that is why although, most of the web2 games do not pay the users for playing, they have a returning fan base that are always excited to play. Splinterlands has certainly taken that into consideration and have for the past six years developed an interesting card game that has a lot more to offer than just fun.
Unlike a lot of the other games that we see around that is quite complex to operate and understand, splinterlands isn't like this. The game has a relatively friendlier interface and once you sign in, you find it very easy to explore and understand.
Splinterlands is a strategic card game that involves players selecting their cards in the form of monsters, arranging them in teams and allowing the cards to battle it out. The game has a very large fanbase that aside having fun, can open you up to meeting new people and forming online connections. You will be surprised by how easy it is to form connections with people online once you find something in common you like.
I discovered splinterlands after I joined hive. Hive has been a platform of numerous opportunities a nd for me, my friend who was playing the game for some months convinced me to play too. I signed up for the game and fell in love with it since.
I have been playing splinterlads for more than a year now and have made good progress since I started playing. I have an increased staked $SPS, I have got more cards and I am playing in a higher rank in the wild league now. I mostly played the modern rank when I started out but since the removal of some cards from modern, I concentrate all my playing time in the modern rank.
From the just ended season, I reached my personal high of champion 3. However, I could not progress further and was taken down to diamond 2 when the season ended. I have been making steady progress in climbing the leagues and the season saw me reach my record high.
Since the turn of this year, I have spent more time playing the game. I try to make sure that the energy is never 50 for too long. Before I sleep, I play about 10 battles and that way when I rise from my sleep I can play more battles since my energy would be full.
It's going to be interesting to see all the new updates that are added to the game in the near future. I hope you join the game if you are not playing already. You won't regret it.
