When life takes a detour

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗

Around the mid-nineties there was this career show done by kids that was broadcast every week on TV, so I grew to love the judge character, and I told myself that I would be a lawyer when I grow up. I remember one time telling my aunt that I wanted to become a lawyer, and she told me that that was a bad career choice, that lawyers were always lying and when they die; they usually bury them facing down, and most of them go to hell.

So I immediately changed my mind and said I would become a medical doctor because that was the other career that I liked in the show.

Before my secondary school, I thought all doctors did the same thing until I was taught that there are different types of doctors.

So I made my decision that I wanted to become a gynecologist. I remember learning how to spell gynecologist in case anyone asked me to spell it.

Why I Said I was going to be a gynecologist of all the different specializations was because there was this health show that was usually air every Saturday morning, and most of it was talking about women and different health challenges they face. They usually have different women with different cases in the hospital, so I used to pity the women and wish I could help them.

I don't think there was anyone who knew me the that didn't know what I wanted to become. I made it clear to everyone around me that I was going to become a gynecologist.

Life happened to me after my secondary I wrote Jamb the first and second year, passed but didn't get admission.

The third year I was offered biochemistry, but I turned it down and said I wanted to study medicine and surgery.

Wrote jamb again the four year, and this time around I was offered biology. By this time I was already tired and frustrated staying at home. I was almost going into depression, and my dad asked me to accept the offer and start school. And he said while I was in school, I could still write another jamb exam, and if I got lucky and was offered what I wanted, then I would start afresh instead of staying at home hopeless.

To cut the story short, I am a biologist, not a gynecologist. A few years ago, someone told me I could go back to school and pursue my passion, and I told him I didn't have the strength to read again. I'm pursuing money now.

At the moment, I am a farmer, among other things. I changed my career paths in my 300 level, where I went to do my siwes (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme); that was where I knew I was going to go into agriculture. I saw a lot of this that blew my mind there.

Though I have not gotten to that place yet, I am making progress with my farm.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗

I'm pursuing money now.

Hahaha 😀 everyone chasing after money now. Well, your story is an example of what we plan versus what God has for us.

Yes, man proposes but God disposes.

Let me just continue with my chase for money 😂

Hehehe 😀

I was about to say that you can actually pursue medicine if you really want it but not knowing someone is already after money 😂
The most important thing is you’re doing something you’re really interested in now and that’s all that matters.

Am after money now oo. My children can pursue medicine if they want to, but not me anymore 😂

😂😂😂
I’m sure they will
