Hello everyone, this is my first post in the community and my second post after my introductory post yesterday,
As I was exploring the hive platform, I found out about this community with its beautiful challenge topics and I have decided to get myself involved.
I will be talking about the worst experience that I encountered in the month of January, I can remember that I found myself in a situation that I never thought I would experience - a severe lack of food, this happened as a result since I didn't travel during the Christmas and new year holiday all because I was getting ready for the exam which was supposed to be on the 15th of this month but was later postponed, my people refuse to send money nor food because I refuse to travel to the village.
It was a challenging time that tested my resilience and taught me the importance of gratitude and resourcefulness. It all started when unexpected financial difficulties hit me hard. I lost the zeal of reading in me as hunger struck, you need to see how I started fasting and praying, I never knew that I could be so good at fasting and I also turned out to be a slim model.
This time, all the bills piled up, and no income to rely on, bills such as electricity, security fees, water, and gas and I had to make some tough decisions. Unfortunately, one of the areas that suffered the most was my ability to afford food. As the days went by, my pantry grew emptier and emptier. I had to ration every meal, carefully planning how to stretch the little food I had left. It was a constant battle between hunger and the need to survive.
I remember feeling weak and exhausted, both physically and mentally. I tried reaching out to my friends, uncle, and aunty, but the demand was overwhelming, and resources were limited. The waiting lists were long, and it seemed like help was nowhere in sight. I felt a sense of hopelessness creeping in, wondering how I would make it through this difficult time.
Looking back, January was undoubtedly one of the worst months of my life. However, it also became a turning point, a moment of growth and resilience. It taught me the importance of gratitude, the power of community, and the strength that lies within us even in the face of adversity.
I will use this medium to thank and appreciate all the admin and moderators of this community @collinz @anama @mcsamm @nattybongo @nhaji01 for all the good work that they have been doing.
