For everything you've come to love or hate, there is always a reason. The same goes for sounds that we've experienced as we go about our daily living. I'm the kind that can endure to an extent even if I feel tired and can't continue sometimes but with sounds? There are some I can not deal with when they are being produced.
Sounds are a proof that my ears are functioning, I feel sad to see people who can't hear and so it makes me appreciate sounds more but that also plays into my dislike for some sounds. We'd agree that some sounds can be more than irritating, they can be so annoying. So annoying that you'd be wondering if where the sounds are produced from actually appreciate the power of hearing.
For me, I'll share two sounds I don't like and I'll also share my reasons/background of how the dislike started.
My very first on the list is, Music sound system at social gathering. No, I'm not saying I don't like music or the kinds they play at parties but you know that situation of sitting somewhere close to a sound system at a party and something goes wrong with the dj then a sound comes out that sends your eardrum to a war. I hate that so much that it made me develop a dislike for it.
You could say I don't enjoy too loud music even if it's my favourite song that is being played. But what is most irritating to me is those mic and sound corrupt sounds, it sting my ears so badly that I don't recover from it so fast.
Since I'm still on the music line of thought, I'll add that I dislike sounds that are off key in singing. For someone who has come to know the different parts and dynamics in music, an off key sounds stings my ears too. This may seem unnecessary to add but right now, I'm hearing a person singing off key making me lose interest to know about the original song.
Another sound I don't like is, The sound from crying children.
I know what came to your mind first, won't I have kids? Would I hate their cries too? 😅 Well, that isn't what I'm getting at. You know that aspect of parents neglecting their kids to cry for too long and their crying sounds changes to make it seem like they are being jerked, I don't like that sound at all.
There is also the one where kids cry so loudly, like I said, I don't like too loud sound. The sound become very irritating for me and a lot of times unbearable. I think it also has to do with me not wanting to have a child around and he or she is crying, it hurts in many ways especially when I don't know a way to stop the child.
The times I've had to spend with a children made me realize how much I can't bear with some sounds of cry. But it is a sound I can bear with because I love children.
There are other sounds I don't like but these are the ones I could remember to share now. Share yours with me in the comment section and let's interact.
