Finding Relief During Burnouts? My Relief Recipe

Burnouts are inevitable so long there is hard work or working too much, you can't escape being burnout and not wanting to do anything more than you have. It's a phase many have gone through and many would go through a lot of times. Even when someone works smart and not hard, they also face burnout to know what smart trick to pull next.

So it's either you face burnout now or whenever you work your body or brain too much. Content creators face this more often and it affects their contents sometimes while some seem to have it in control.

Some burnout stories ends well, like being more productive after it and some, it just gets worse until they lose interest to get back to what they had been doing. This happens to beloved passions too, I've seen a few and it's sad. Not many are able to cope with a burnout phase and some just get stuck.

I've once had a burnout that got me crying before I got relief from it, it was a phase I thought I'd never come out off even though I wasn't sure of that thought. I just kept trying and trying until I burst into tears and somehow, a way showed up for me and I felt happy and relieved again.

But that experience taught me to find better ways to avoid burnouts and even when I feel burned out or having the writer's block, I've learnt better ways to overcome or cope with it and that's what I'll be sharing here... My burnout relief recipe.

First off, it's trying to avoid getting burned out. It's not easy to avoid it when there are so much to do and in my case when I have a lot to do and I'm sure that I would be too stressed out later, I try to take few minutes out to rest a bit.

Resting doesn't have to necessarily mean sleeping for sometime but just closing your eyes for a few seconds and do a bit of a breath exercise (breath in & out) then continue working.

When I have no idea on what to write or I feel too tired to write anything, I have these options I try out that one or two would work very fine for me.

  • Go back to read my old contents,
  • Explore communities to find prompts or interesting posts.
  • Writing about my burnout or writer's block situation.

These helps me a lot to cope with burnout. Reminding myself of what I've achieved before, exploring for fun and finding interesting things to engage with are a good and educating way of burnouts. The simple act of writing about your present situation is also a way out but only for writers obviously.

A non writer could pause for a while, think positively or talk about it to a close one and allow help if it gets too difficult to overcome that phase.

Burnout i have come to discover is something that we can't do with. We need to at times take break and refresh ourselves. It is really necessary. Everyone cannot escape this burnout as we are trying to meet needs and responsibilities

That is a truth we have to accept and work our way out of as much as we can when it comes.

That's true my dear sister. We really need to work it out ourselves
