NEW DISCOVERY

The idea is to create original content for Hive not dump years of someone's blogs into Hive blockchain to farm rewards/get paid for that copypasta spam. There are some users who are an exception to this as they are popular influencers and they actively promote Hive on other platforms.

The above paragraph is a statement made by someone I respect in Hive and it seems to alter my theology about how Hive works. I only heard this for this first time, this week(or last week, if Sunday starts your week).

Where was I?

Firstly, I fully understand that content on Hive should be mine or should I say original– no plagiarism, no breaking of copyright laws for pictures, appropriate sourcing and reference, etc.

So my interpretation of "original content" has always been that the write-up, pictures or research is original to me– they are mine! However, that first paragraph suggests to me that "original content" also means that my work must be published on Hive first. Infact should I say, it seems to kind of undermine the fact that I created the work myself.

I think Hive has advanced beyond what my onboarder taught me. He taught me that I can cross-postake to Hive, but it has to be my work that is being cross-posted and I can affix a link so anyone can trace the cross-post to my very work.

Presently

Conversely, the current reality I think is that, when you sign up for Hive, you're obligated to publish your contents on Hive first before anywhere else.

Or maybe I should take this line in that first paragraph very literally– "..not dump years of someone's blogs into Hive.."". Meaning(the bold text) he is referring only to old work not new. So if an hour ago I wrote something somewhere, it is allowed for me to post same on Hive. Is that correct? [ PLEASE I WELCOME SOME CLARIFICATION ON THIS]

Someone has also said that one reason we must post first in Hive before posting elsewhere is because of how it is indexed in search engines. I'm far from an authority in computer jargons, but I think this preceding sentence means that Hive wants to occupy the first slot in the index figures in search engines. Well maybe this would help market the brand much more; but I hope the writer is given extra reward for this too?

I am informed that the vast majority of the Hive community has accepted the above guideline and it is reflected in the proposal support. So I think my bad, for not reading up the rules( or current rules) behind the scenes.

I hope this has helped someone, plus I could do with more help from anyone on understanding this whole new( to me ) guideline.

My onboarder has long stopped blogging, he told me years back that he's only focused on the gaming side of Hive, so I had to hone my craft here receiving so many very useful tips from @amirtheawesome1 and very helpful support from @talesfrmthecrypt. I invite you both to set the ball rolling, as it were.

Thanks everyone in this Original Content.. Tribe and beyond, as I anticipate useful comments pouring in.

Greetings from,
da witty fella
