Building The Banished Banshee

in Toys on Hive4 months ago

I've been talking with a guy about some of the Halo sets. There are a good few vehicles he's interested in, and one in particular is the Banished Banshee. He would rather purchase it as a bundle with some other things, and this is one of the main pieces he wants with it, alongside three figures and two small sets that come with four figures each.

He's also looking for some other vehicles but wants to get these first. The only problem was, I hadn't built this one yet.

I managed to get most of the cockpit finished in no time, but it was kind of tough to root out all of the pieces for it.

I need to organise everything again and colour-coordinate the bags once more, as this is the most time-consuming part of the whole process, I've been putting it off. Doing so will speed things up a lot moving forward though.

Some sections, such as the wings were already assembled, so that made it a bit easier.

You can see the turret guns below, and they're really cool because they actually fire the small missiles.

From this side you can see the small engine pieces assembled and in place.

With the wings fully assembled, and the cockpit in place it was time to mount it on its small stand.

It's a fairly impressive little thing, even though it's only small. I really like it.

I was looking everywhere for the small bar on the other side of the wing, and couldn't find it anywhere, and my head was fairly melted by the end and I didn't like the thought of rooting once more for all of the individual pieces to assemble it.

I was rooting around for some other small pieces for it, and came across the bar, fully assembled, even though I had been looking for it for ages.

The wings are both assembled now, and it's so close to being complete. I'd say it's about 96% finished now, and all I need to do is have a root around for some more small parts.

All of the main pieces are here, and the parts that I need are mainly small common bricks, but since it was getting fairly late I decided to leave it here for now.

I have a small box for almost fully assembled sets, so that's where this one is going until tomorrow.

When I think it's done, I'll disassemble the entire thing, and rebuild it, just to be completely sure.
