How Health Is Your Mental health?

Mental health and well-being are very important aspect of our lives even sometimes we tend to neglect it, in our world today Mental health in generally has not been given much consideration or is under-recognized, yet it performs a major function of regulating cognition, emotions, and our behaviours. This happens with tendencies of broken relationships, lost of job and many others difficult situations and it overall effect on life satisfaction.

About one person in every four has a chance of developing a mental illness during his or her lifetime. This piece of statistic is good because it shows the current state of mental illnesses and why they should be dealt with. Other mental health conditions include anxiety, depression and bipolar disease among others and all these can overwhelm the entire life of an individual and have disastrous results if not well managed. That is why we should be mindful of our mental health because it is as important as physical and it's play a major role in one being able to live a happy and productive life. Some of the sources of mental health and wellness may include; social contacts, health, finance, and personal character depository.

Having Good friends, family support and good relation with the community gives one feeling of belonging and this is a strength. Loneliness which comes from inadequate social relations contributes to poor mental health and well-being of individuals, so one have to be intentional in building relationships among friends and family, also Healthy exercise and diet and sufficient and good quality sleep can help cheer up a person, relieve stress and increase alertness among other benefits. Caring for our body enables us to handle strife of life and even look at the brighter side of life.

One of the issues that are well-known to have impact on mental health is financial security. Stress among individuals will lead to anxiety, depression and may also lead to other related ailments. People should be able to handle their finances wisely and if they are overwhelmed, that is why budget is very important for everyone, so you can probably manage your finances right and have a good plan on how to make choice then seek assistance so that they do not develop various problems that affect their mental health.

One has to invest a lot of time, energy and effort in taking proper care of their psychological health. One should not neglect his or her own needs and should not hesitate to get help when necessary. Counseling, group sessions, and psychopharmacologic therapy are some of the ways of dealing with mental health disorders and enhancing quality of life.

In conclusion, I will like to say that our mental health is very important as it is an important characteristic of a person’s health and his or her quality of life. It is my belief that health has many aspects and by firstly developing interpersonal relationships, physical fitness, fiscal savings and personal silver lining, one can achieve contentment in life and thus, a healthy mind. This is why it is necessary to take care of oneself, to ask for help when it is required, and to take all the necessary measures in order to have good psychological state. Reminder; If you’re able, it’s okay not to be okay but then you have to do something about your mental condition.
