Many a times, lack of opportunities to practice full potential to the fullest is Due to location. Even if you are called talented, that is true most especially when you are in the right place. This why the fish has gills; this fish is best adapted to breathing in water. As to the ground, these gills will be completely useless. Now, that is interesting as the use of your talent depends on your geographical location you are coming from. Being in a right location will already position you to leverage your actual potentials to the highest level.
There was once a little camel which questioned their father as to why was there a hump in their backs. The father camel stared at him and said, the hump is used to reserve large amounts of water for the trip via the desert. The little camel then walked directly to the father and asked them what was the use of the dense eyebrows. Once more, in response to this, the father reminded him that it is used in filtering the sand in the desert from getting into the eyes.
At this point the little camel was still digesting the information that the father had to tell him. He actually went on to question why they have such legs in the first place. Once more, the father answered that the legs are well adapted to travelling through the desert. Now the little camel got confused and asked the father this: if these are the features for the desert then why are we in the zoo? This is the time the father realised that all the feature they have are not being utilised to the full potential because they occupy wrong places.
Likewise, when you are not where you are supposed to be, you do not live the kind of life you are purposed to. Some popular figure all over the world include; footballers such as M.salah and Ronaldo and so on. On this it is well agreed that they have unequalled abilities; but they are in their own right place, and it should consequently be an easy matter to develop their abilities. Just think what could happen if one of them decided to go into high jump or long jumps; that might be the end of the individual in the athletic fame.
If you are planning to doubt your performance, please ensure you check whether you are in the right location or not. Of course, the adage “a lizard in wrong location will not turn into an alligator in a right location.” But the lizard is able to grow at least into giant lizard without transforming into an alligator. Likewise, your ‘bigness is almost a function of your location.
This is the area farmers will concur with me that when planting, choice of seed is not the only aspect to be considered but location. Most grains for instance can do well in swampy area. That is why even if the rice seed may be genetically modified , the result you will get when you plant it in a desert like area is way below average. That is, the optimum utilization of talents will be when you are in the right place at the right time. The fact to consider is, whatever job you take, always try to be at the right place at the right time.
There are people that are often referred to be lucky they are merely reaping the gains of being at the right place. And even in business, before you go on to set up or implement your business ideas, you should always try to ask the question of ‘where’. It should not just be being smart and coming up with good business plans, you should also consider the location. Placing a right business in a wrong location can end up the business even before it starts.
