RE: [WE96] - Overseas food - Sudan

So in a communal setting, you can find many people crowding around a big dish, all sticking their hands in to share the food together. It takes a bit of getting used to and our natural Western obsession to disinfect everything needs to be left behind. They have been doing it for generations though so why not join?

In Nigeria, we eat certain foods with our hands also and honestly, they're best enjoyed that way.

I agree. Something very satisfying about it. It takes a bit of getting used to when you were brought up to never do that because it was seen to be uncouth.
