The feel of togetherness, after a long gap, has no words.

in Weekend Experienceslast year

Warm greetings to all Hiveans.... the count down for new year has already begun, probably with new resolutions for few of them. I am here after a short while. The reason being, the arrival of my sister and her family, in other words, a reunion after a long, one and half years break. Though late, wishing my friends Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance.

The entrance of the showroom

The reunion was too good when both of us met at our parents home - a home where we spend our childhood, leaving behind lot of sweet memories. The togetherness was both happy and painful. Happy because we are together and painful because days are flying and her return ticket is not quite faraway.

As it was a festive season we, along with our kids, decided an outing. The outing no doubt was to a showroom.

Our traditional wear, Indian Saree section

So at the beginning, we decided for a small shopping at the City Mall. At first we just got into a recently opened fabric centre and purchased some dresses of our choice. My sister was the one sponsoring for all of us.

It was a newly opened, three storeyed one, with lot of latest collections.

Shoes and Sandals being displayed with discount offers

Once it was done, we shifted to a Shoe centre to purchase sandals and shoes for the boys and parents. Long hours were spent there, though the collections were innumerable, we did not get something of our choice. The size of the sandals and shoes particularly for my aged parents was unavailable.

As it was already late, and getting dark, we decided to move on to another showroom, a branded one inside a well known Mall. It was quite big, having too many cushions at the corner. For us it was a blessing , as we moved around several times ny walk, all of us were exhausted. When the children had fun, we started our hunt and in no time, we could also locate one of our choice.

Just for personal reasons faces are hidden

By now all of us were hungry. So we all went to a nearby restaurant for some snacks and tea. It was nice sharing a table, by all of us. Finally, after 15 minute we decided to leave. On the way, as planned, we got into a utensils shop and did a small shopping and finally headed to our home sweet home.

On the way, back to home, just took these snaps of a decorated Church

Though we don't celebrate Christmas, the atmosphere and Christmas Carols around us, made us to be one among them. All the Churches, in and around our place, was decorated with colourful lighting, a Christmas tree and a Santa Claus, in the form of an effigy. Too many small stalls, with different varieties of items, like eatables, toys, clothes for big and small, was helpful for many.

Though the roads and streets were crowded, their was joy in each face, that I came across. Must be everybody are in the enthusiasm of welcoming 2024 by bidding goodbye to 2023.

Wishing universal peace and happiness in the year 2024. Photos captured are my own on our visit to the above mentioned places. Thankyou for visiting.
