I love it ...

A complicated plan every time I go to the beach on the weekend.

Why?

Because it is wonderful for me to see the fishermen and the curiosity of their surroundings when they return with their cargo of fish and take their fishing train out of the sea. Artisanal fishing style than just.we can enjoy them in their regions, the place where they live and work away from tourist places.

It was just me and my husband on the beach, walking.in the surroundings, very early in the morning and suddenly the time came for something that happened, the fishing craftsmen arrived and everyone started to help, even my husband asked permission to join the trawl ashore to "take out the fishing train", because these hardworking people fish daily and we witnessed this art of fishing of people who live off what the Caribbean Sea gives us.

I remember that this was how my childhood was and the life of my family, my grandparents who with a lot of effort had a house on the beach to spend holidays or spend a weekend and when the fishermen came, my younger brothers and I would run out to help them take out the fishing train, then they would give us all kinds of fish to enjoy as a family. What good times, I always thank my parents for giving us a beautiful childhood where the highlight was the family walk on weekends.

Definitely artisanal fishing is a work of dedication, it is arduous, and rough.

This walk was very special for both of us because between enjoying the beach and our philosophies while we contemplated everything with the light of the Caribbean sunrise we agreed that nature is free and full and that artisanal fishing should be kept intact and that it is we the city dwellers, society who must protect them.

Intact because nothing else was needed to enjoy the fishing train, intact because these ecosystems survive with human intervention and because nature is free when they let it be.

It was really fascinating to observe the hard work, under this beloved sun in our land there are people who take their daily bread, "the fishing train" there were men, children, teenagers, women, whole families continuing with the legacy of their ancestors, this craft "artisanal fishing" with nets made (woven) by themselves.

Chores of these people with their faces tanned by artisanal fishing who take care of those of us who visit them on weekends so that we come back many times to take a bath on the beach and eat fried fish fresh from the sea with raw salad and green banana. Made by themselves for sale.

In addition to enjoying until sunset. I really love walking around our Caribbean in the company of the happy fishermen whose lifestyle cultivates the sense of rootedness in their region.

With this story I am writing, I remember my childhood. Because we always went on Saturday and returned on Sunday with the sunset.

I think that on Fridays, I didn't sleep well, looking forward to the weekend adventure with my parents and brothers, an experience that I enjoy many years later next to my husband.

These people who work and live by fishing are friendly, humble, the food is tasty and fresh, the beaches are beautiful, they are places to visit, vacation and the rocks take you for a walk everywhere.
