Wake up! Waking up is my favorite moment. Seeing the sunrise is a privilege that is given to us day by day, it is a new opportunity to start, to start again, to continue, with gratitude and positive mind.
The best thing in the morning is to receive the good morning from those people we love, and if it comes with a good hug, so much better. The dawn can be the beginning of a splendid and wonderful day, and on those occasions when we are not having a good time, it can mean the end of an eternal night, one of those in which insomnia, worries or illnesses take over us and do not let us rest.
Sometimes, we forget that life is a short time, it is transitory and in that coming and going we forget the value of the simple, the simple and intangible as are the different moments of the day. I can not say that all my dawns are good, because everything depends on our mood and the attitude we decide to face each situation.
During the morning very important things happen in our being. The body needs to be activated, nourished, filled with energy, not only to function physically, but also spiritually and mentally. That's why breakfast is one of my favorite things to do in my favorite time of the day.
I like to eat a good breakfast, and since I discovered that I have insulin resistance, I have learned a lot about the importance of breakfast, because if we don't supply the energy our body needs to start the day, the body will take what it has and end up consuming itself. So, breakfast is an important part of the morning, also because it is the meal that I can eat without so many limitations.
Of course, a steaming cup of coffee is another thing that gets my morning off to a good start. Although it is not something strict, sometimes I prefer a delicious and refreshing natural juice, especially in hot seasons, like the one we are living. But you could say that 70% of the year or more, my mornings start with a good cup of coffee.
In the mornings I have more energy to do my chores at home, I am more willing to walk and I have a clear mind to read or write. The only thing I don't like about mornings is that I feel they fly by, but I think it's just a perception, because we are so busy and focused that we lose track of time.
My mornings start very early, usually at 6 am I am already awake and ready to get my son ready for school and although on weekends I would like to sleep a little more, I always end up waking up at the same time as always, so I take the opportunity to go out and get a different breakfast than the rest of the week, for example, today we had Andean pastries, which are like a wheat flour empanada, filled with ground beef with a little bit of rice, in the middle of a juicy sauce. My son loves it, and since I can't please him all the time, I try to make sure he enjoys his favorite breakfast on weekends.
We all have the power to decide how to start the day. I know that sometimes it is not so easy and one of the things that makes my mind attract positive thoughts to face the daily routine is music, this can not miss in my mornings.
