SPIRITUAL PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (SPD) // 16TH AUGUST 2024 // PROPHECIES OF OLD FULFILLED

in FreeSpeech β€’ 3 months ago

🐦INTRODUCTION:

πŸ’”CONTROLLING THOUGHT:
Stop and think of the books of the old testaments - all the prophesies including life and death of Christ came to pass.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

πŸ”πŸ”‘KEY VERSES:

But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled (Acts 3:18 KJV) ).

πŸ“•BIBLE TEXT:
Acts 3:12-21 KJV)

πŸͺ’πŸ”ŠMAIN DISCOURSE. The most important thing to me is keeping my promises. If I say the words 'I promise', it means that I must keep it. These are very vital and firm words that I want and will not throw around; if I say it, I mean it. As I read the books of the Old Testament, I am into history, thousands of years in the past, and I think about how life was like back then. I also consider about the prophecies of the many important prophets then like: Isaiah, Ezra, Esther, Jeremiah, Hosea, Amos, Daniel, Elijah, Moses...all these changed history in ways that they seemingly could never have imagined. When I think about how and why those prophects changed their world and ours, it shows that they did not imagine anything they said at all. They made a promise and prophecies that eventually came true. Stop and think of the books of the old testaments - all they prophesized including life and death of Christ are true.

The apostles in their time have witnessed the life of Christ more closely than anyone. They know more about Jesus Christ and presumably have more faith in his teachings. Their strong faith is considered, it seems as they inevitability given their front row seat to Christ's life. Yet, what about the unbelievers in Jesus then? What about the other people that witnessed him? The priests and learned scholars that new of the prophecies of the Old Testament, saw or heard about the life of Christ, and still did not choose to believe? What do we say about them? These questions called for the next question: what about us?

πŸ“’DECLARATION:
If you would like to give your life to Jesus, you can do so by saying this prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I come to you a sinner. I ask that You forgive my sins. I accept you into my heart as my Lord and personal saviour. Thank You for saving me, in Jesus' name - Amen."

πŸ™PRAYER
My Lord Jesus Christ, we love and adore You. We know You are our great provider and are grateful for Your presence in our lives and the peace You bestow upon us. And we come with a heart full of gratitude to say Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name - Amen.
