CONFIDENCE IN GOD ALMIGHTY

BIBLE TEXT:

Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him (Lamentations 3:22-24).

God's people will only face life confidently through one way. God loves us very much, He saved us from sin and eternal death in hellfire, and He is determined to guide us through every moment of life.

The Lord wants us to hope in Him and live confidently, but too often we allow feelings of personal inadequacy and unworthiness to puncture and derail our confidence.

The apostle Paul lived through horrendous circumstances like our own, The Apostle was rejected by his people who stoned and abandoned him to die ridiculously, he was ignored, and often beaten, and later imprisoned for his loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ. Yet, Paul's confidence continued to be maintained to the end.

When he did not think he could face another day, Paul recalled one simple truth: >I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13). The apostle Paul, focused absolutely on the Lord Jesus Christ just as the prophet Jeremiah had: >Great is Your faithfulness, every now and then, He is my own. The Lord Jesus Christ is my portion, says my soul, surely, I hope in Him".

The classic hymn >Great Is Thy Faithfulness" tells more about this all important idea. Another time you are singing the song, don't forget the wonder of it: God is faithful and does not change (Hebrews 13:8).

On this premise we find our reason for hope and unwavering confidence in God. Because He lives, we can fearlessly and confidently face tomorrow! The immortal God in His unchanging nature teaches us that even when we feel unlovely, we remain exceptionally beautiful to Him. God's love on us is unchangeable. it is unconditional love that flows freely from His throne of mercy and grace.

If the Lord decides to change who He is, then every single promise He has made would be jeopardized, He would become untrustworthy. But God's legacy is this: He loved us unconditionally yesterday, and He loves us with the same love today and tomorrow.

Beloved, do you truly trust the Lord? Have you experienced a strong assurance that comes from placing your faith in His unfailing love and faithfulness? The Lord is always near and He knows. Roll the burden of your heart onto Him. "Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you" (1 Pet 5:7).

Cheer up! you saints of God, there is nothing to worry about; there is nothing to make you feel afraid, and nothing to make you doubt. The Lord never fails; just trust Him and shout triumphantly. God assumes full responsibility for our needs when we love Him, live for Him, serve Him, and obey Him.
Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty of His power.
