Cleanliness in poultryfarm business is one of the major routine to prevent the birds from disease. Most of the time, the disease of poultry birds usually comes from dirty environment and water apart from diseases that are caused by virus.
Water is essential for all living things especially a healthy one at that. Disease outbreak has been the major reason why many poultry farmers quit poultry farming and the reason why some people are afraid of venturing into poultryfarm business.
I have seen many people making comments under post stating that disease outbreak is the reason why they stop poultry farming in their area, whiles some said poultry farming is very risky due to disease outbreak.

But I will keep saying it that no business is without risk even though they are more riskier than each other.
They say prevention is better than cure, which I believe that this actual statement is meant for poultry farming. One thing is for sure in poultry farming, there is nothing you can do from not witnessing disease in poultry farming because broiler birds are very fragile and have low resistance to diseases but there are some ways to prevent diseases from taken over and that's why I will be discussing one of the reasons in my blog today.
Education is the key in every aspect of human being including our business and other stuff. Like I said earlier that no business is without risk but acquiring the basic knowledge about it is the best as the that will be a roadmap to safeguard one from the challenges and risks associated.
In taking care of poultry farm birds and preventing disease outbreak, a simple step or action can actually play a crucial role.
Apart from getting your birds from a trustworthy hatchery companies, following biosecurity measure and vaccination schedule, providing a healthy environment and cleaning their pen regularly by replacing their bedding always.
This what the bottom of my bird's drinkers usually look like when the birds drank all the water. Pouring another water in to drinkers in such situation can leads to birds being infected with tract infection or chronic respiratory disease (CRD) which can leads to loss of birds in poultry farming.
Taking care and proper management of bird's drinkers and providing them with healthy water regularly is very important as it can help in preventing diseases in poultry farming.
Reason why washing and providing poultry birds with clean water everyday can prevent poultry birds from disease is due to the little experience I had in poultry farming so far.
I have discovered that each time I filled my bird's drinkers with clean water, then the bottom of the drinkers will be filled with different dirty particles dropped from the bird's mouth while drinking water. And poultry farming, no dirty particles can be overlook since disease usually comes from dirty environment so making sure to keep the birds drinkers clean and providing them with healthy water is very important way to prevent disease outbreak in poultry farming.
