Once in a while I like to take part in the Splinterlands community social media challenges they run. This time is to talk about remarkable Splinterlands Moments. Let's dive in!
Moment 1 - Creating My Own Card
Every time a new deck releases such as the most recent rebellion set there's a contest that takes place during prelaunch of the new deck. This contests lets the top few buyers of packs help design the creation of a Splinterlands card from that series.
The only time I've been able to manage this myself was back in the beta days when it was done via a kickstarter. For a small price of just $1,500 I was able to take part in creating a Legendary summoner. That summoner I feel is a pretty famous one a lot of people like using.
Hard to find this guy on the market. My gold foil version of him was worth near $30,000 in the last bull run some I'm curious what it could be worth if we hit a new major milestone here during this bull run.
Being able to be a part of the game and kind of enshrined into the blockchain is a cool feeling. While most won't know it was me it still feels good to be able to flaunt it in times like this lol.
Moment 2 - Champion Rank
Yes, there was a time when little me maybe the worst card player ever was in champions for weeks on end. No one would believe me ever but luckily we have the blockchain to thank for proof!
Yep, that number down there are champion points! It's also pretty wild to see I'm at my 22,000th+ battle over the years and that's with no bot action.
The only time I've used anything close to a bot was to rent out cards last year because manually trying to list these things was such a massive time sink.
Asset Value
The last bull run was crazy and sure maybe I should have sold out a little more while the going was good. My asset values in the last bull run touched upwards of $600,000 in value. From cards, Land, SPS, DEC and other assets in the game it's continued to explode.
I'm also eager now to see what comes of land. Being that I have a total of 141 plots of land which run now I've only been able to afford to bring roughly 18 of those plots online so far I have my work cut out for me for sure.
I do have some open plots in Kithden which is where I own my keep.
I'm waiting for the day we can rent lands out for others to use if we don't wish to use them ourselves. I'm not too keen on selling any of them off to be honest. Unless of course the price is right!
With all of that being said I've had a lot of great moments on Splinterlands over the years and I bet there will be many many more to come. What's awesome about the game now compared to before is that there's so much to do that it kind of pleases all play styles now. Passive civ building via lands, active battles and competition, investors and more! It's a great entry point for any type of person and they can expand if they wish to into the other areas. I feel that's what's going to make Splinterlands such a powerful asset as we continue to roll forever.
