RE: Building up a HBD Savings Balance on SSC 3

in LeoFinance10 months ago

Good work this week @tengolotodo.leo. Great goals to have. I personally particularly like saving in "stablish" coins, like HBD, for the reasons you cite. Then our income streams are more reliable!

Have a great weekend!

P.S. My one trip to Scotland, I loved it. I hope someday to take my beloved back there to enjoy it with me.

Yes stablish coins are great both on and off hive!

Oh as they say in Scotland Haste Ye Back!

Glad you loved it

"Haste ye back!" 🫡

We'll see, as time runs out on my uhhh ... "hourglass" ...

It was unforgettable to land in Aberdeen and drive up the Dee River. For a bit, I could've imagined I was still out in the American West, driving up into a mountain canyon here.

Then ...

I drove by this little place advertising breakfast, so I stopped. I marveled at the construction in what appeared to be granite, with trim around the window appearing to be oak. About 2 to 3 inches thick!

Stooping down to get my head through the doorway, I went inside. I really liked hearing the Scottish accent, in the greeting I received. The whole experience made it abundantly clear I was not in the American West at all, as the little place seemed as though it had been there a very long time ...

If there was any doubt, once leaving, a short time later, I drove past the Balmoral Castle ...

Anyway, I'll always have the fond memory. And hope to experience it all again someday, when I am not by myself.

Aha Oil and Gas company perhaps your 14 years? I just read your other comment, and pointed out it is Aberdonians who are tight.

Yeah Balmoral Castle is great, the whole drive out there is cracking.

Funnily enough it was Aberdeen Airport my future wife landed in 1997 on Christmas Eve from America wondering what she had wandered into ...

"Aha Oil and Gas company perhaps your 14 years?'

No, I had an Uncle who was involved in that, though, and was based out of Aberdeen. The reason I went there, in the first place, was to visit him and his Scottish (2nd marriage) wife. He was away on business, however, when I arrived, so I went for my Scottish Highlands adventure, ending up in Pitlochry, before turning back ...

My employer was a chemical company, based out of the Yorkshire area of England. One of my great memories of going there was being taken to York. Not NEW York. No ... The original ... Sitting in a pub, built in 1100 something and "remodeled" in 1600 something, it was remarkable the very thick planks we sat on had uhhh ... "well worn" ... bucket seats. The old fashioned kind! Hahaha ...
