What a madness

After reading a lot of posts about the so called tap2earn coins that are very hot right now, especially on the privacy messenger platform Telegram. I heard about the native token of Telegram, TON and the possibility to earn TON through simple tapping games.

What a surprise it was for me to find out there are tap2earn coins and games with cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, pixels, the list is endless and every day new projects get launched. All with the promise to possibly get rich by just tapping your screen.

Hamster and Tapcoin

I decided to play 2 of the so called “mini apps” and downloaded a wallet on Telegram to deposit my rewards on. It turns out is not that simple. They sell all to work with claimdrops and airdrops. But you first have to be as active as possible in the “mini apps”. Download other games to get more “gems” or tapcoins, or watch YouTube videos to get more of them. And when the eventual claimdrop happens you will get more of the eventual token if you were more active…

All very nerve wrecking in my humble opinion, and more something for kids than for a 40 year old. Or is it just me? You feel like losing coins if you’re not active in the mini app. And that’s a red flag for me!

What have I earned? To this moment, nothing! The airdrops are still pending… So who knows?

I will stay away from them, and focus on LEO and Hive!
