We are going through a time of hyperinflation and it has a devastating effect on the lives of the citizens. it is quite sad that the government are not capable of doing anything tangible to reduce its effect. Just like you said there are other ways to get money but most of this people that get involved in illicit crimes are also aware of it, it is either they are uneducated or they just want a means that earns them huge money without working hard for it.
