RE: How Tom Bilyeu and a Podcast Sort of Saved My Sanity

in LeoFinance4 days ago (edited)

Didn't know you are a fan of Tom... He's an exceptional guy.

You could check out Mel Robbins podcast as well... I recently listened to one of her sessions with a professional in challenging behaviour and let me say it was one of the best things I have heard.

I think Lewis Howes is also doing a fantastic job with his guests.

And if you are interested in politics, you might want to check out Patrick Bet David, at Valuetainment.

Yes! Definitely a (pretty long time) fan of Tom! He is truly exceptional, and I can relate to him very well (except for the millions :-D lol).
Thanks for your great suggestions! Already know and appreciate Mel, but didn't know about her podcast yet, will definitely give that one a try as well. I'll see if I can find that one about behaviour, as it sounds good for sure!
And also many thanks about the others, will add them to the list for sure! I am interested in (global-) politics as well!

Thank you.

Added them in the meantime ;-)
They all look very interesting, and I'll be glad to listen to them in the next weeks! As for The PBD podcast, is it mostly US news/politics? Or does it go broader than that?
Not sure if you're familiar with Jim Kwik? His podcast is also pretty good!

Yeah.. PBD is mostly US politics. He used to be all about business and money, but gradually shifted to politics in the last few years.

I'm familiar with Jim, the boy with the broken brain... It was from listening to him that I learnt to increase the speed of podcasts.. I do 2x, 3x speeds on most podcasts.

Jim reminds me of David Eagleman... A neuroscientist who discusses the brain. I first heard about the concept of transferring one sense to another through him... Eh using tactile response to trick the brain into seeing the environment...

Same here, Jim taught me about increasing the speed of podcasts and audiobooks as well, but I mostly stick to 1.5x :-D
That transferring one sense to another does sound like something amazing btw!!!

Yeah...

I tried the speed reading, it wasn't working for me...

Jim said to stop subvocalization, no matter how hard I try, I still subvocalize...

The speedreading itself (without subvocalizing) worked pretty ok for me, but I have too little opportunity to really put me to it and read. And when I do have the time to do sit down and read, I prefer to read to relax, not to read as much as possible in the shortest time :-)
