RE: Wings of Freedom.

Thank you for your kind reply.

I have not raised geese....a friend of mine has...and she and her husband had a sort of water trough ...that he built a ramp up to the water for the geese to access. The ducks were raised in an enclosed area like a aviary...inside was a child-sized pool for them...they seemed quite happy. Water at the property is a must.

Many people who eat meat and dairy product want to know where their food comes from and want to know that the animals are treated well....so they raise the meat themselves. It is a thought. Not everyone is cut out for such endeavours though.

I have to smile when you say 'Honest' relationship. Animal husbandry is a completely different experience from the pet experience. ^__^

Kind Regards, Bleujay

Haha yes, as for the morality of keeping pets and farming, you are right, there is a clear difference, but I am preparing myself for the fact that I should not have any attachments to the animals that I will prepare, feed for slaughter, and I will be honest if I do not talk about love for animals in this case, but rather talk about the desire to eat tasty and satisfying healthy food grown with my own hands :)
But, while I am looking for useful information lol I can treat farm animals with a share of love.
Have a blessed evening!
