A compelling argument for fish farming.
Every person, when deciding whether to engage in it or not, relies on compelling arguments that are based on prior knowledge, life experience, and sometimes it relies only on some emotions, on a mirage that we see, but do not understand where it comes from, but we like to see what we see and fish farming is one of them.
Fish farming looks like a low-cost business in all respects, little investment of time, money, energy, effort and of course our nerves lol.
It seems that it could be easier than digging a pit for a future pond and launching fish fry there and waiting for the fish to grow up and delight us with an abundant harvest.
But few people think about the sacrifices that will have to be made in the end and when the understanding comes that it was necessary to pay attention to something else, then you will not quickly jump off this horse, especially if you have invested a lot of money in fish farming, and it will be so.
I study many areas in the field of agriculture and consider it in the plane of the absence of a time conflict, looking for what will minimize energy costs, which is important with the growth of energy prices and, let's say, choosing between fish farming and beekeeping, I will probably stay on beekeeping, but there is a case in which I would pay more attention to fish farming.
And, as I mentioned yesterday at the end of my post, this case would be the result of a huge mistake, which I will try not to make in the future lol.
So, perhaps you have seen ponds with fish of different sizes in some people's yards.
It looks like a fairy tale and this is what resembles a dream that you want to be a part of, but it’s not that simple.
If, suddenly, you decide to become the owner of such a house with a pond and you are offered to buy it, then, most likely, the original reason for the appearance of the pond there was not the desire to engage in fish farming, but the desire to lower the level of groundwater on the land.
Yes, the view of a beautiful pond in which fish live and frogs croak in the evenings can distract our attention from the damp walls of the house, the foundation of which is already completely saturated with water.
Most likely, before a person dug a pond, his site during floods and rains turned into a swamp, which needed to be somehow drained.
Well, since a person has already dug a lake near his house, then, of course, it would be unreasonable not to let fish into this lake.
Because what some people want to present as pathos, for others who do not understand the essence of this matter, it can be a trap.
The subsequent costs for cleaning the pond, for fish food, for filtration and aeration, for water purification chemicals and for treating fish with a bonus in the form of a cloud of mosquitoes that will thank you for having a pond near the food in the form of the owners of the house can become something that will compare you to a bird that can fly, but it was put in a golden cage.
This kind of fish farming is definitely something that I will refuse with a light heart.
