X Blue Metrics, October 15 2024

in LeoFinance2 months ago

This week, impressions went up 38 percent while engagement rate fell 45 percent. It looks like I'm getting back to some level of normalcy.

Besides these two metrics, there are a few other anomalies to my ordinary stats:

  • New followers declined by 67 percent (I'm used to seeing this go up)
  • Replies increased by 150 percent (a lot of interaction this week)
  • Media and video reviews both went down (I'm used to seeing them go up)

Other than this, it's pretty plain vanilla. Let's break it down.

Impressions and Engagements

Impressions peaked on Friday, October 11 with 165. Funny, until then, it was a steady uphill roll. then we see a fairly steady decline toward the end of the week. I don't think my posting declined much, until Sunday. My thought is there were fewer people online.

Interestingly, engagements peaked this morning. They started the week fairly strong and dipped over the weekend. More proof that people were probably not online much over the weekend.

Again, Likes peaked on Tuesday (today).

New follows peaked yesterday.

Replies look like the jagged edge of a saw.

It looks like I was wrong about the number of posts. I posted 12 times on Thursday, October 10, the peak of the week. After that, the number of posts per day declined considerably. And I know why.

Wednesday was my first day setting up my book table at Kroger in Rockwall, Texas. As I sold books throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday, I posted to X along with a picture of the book I sold and signed. I sold fewer books on Friday and Saturday than I did on Wednesday and Thursday. I had a pretty good week overall, though.

28-Day Snapshot

Interestingly, I made more X posts on October 10 than any other day in the past 28 days.

However, that doesn't necessarily translate into more impressions and engagements. In fact, my 28-day impression peak was on Tuesday, September 24. Still, October 11 and 10 measure second and third highest, respectively.

Engagements are a different matter entirely. The 28-day peak fell on Wednesday, September 25. Several other days during that period, including today, register more engagement than either October 10 or 11.

That's it for today. Catch you on the flipside.
