Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros amantes de los deseos y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, si hay una empresa que ha marcado la diferencia en cuanto a animación esa es Disney sin lugar a dudas, manteniendo siempre presente una historia atrapante de la mano con personajes entrañables sus animaciones siempre dan de que hablar, es por ello que “Wish” no podía faltar en mi lista de pendientes debido a que sería un filme animado que conmemoraría los 100 años de esta hermosa compañía. Sin más que agregar prepárense para pedir un deseo de todo corazón pues estamos por comenzar.

The animation is quite beautiful, it has moments where it stands out for its fluidity and details, however, for an animated film that is based on desires and their happiness, it has a rather dull and monotonous color palette, that vibrant factor. that would be expected is completely absent, the above goes hand in hand with its flat and lifeless scenery, something quite disappointing and that leaves much to be desired.
La animación es bastante bonita, tiene momentos en donde destaca por su fluidez y detalles, sin embargo, para ser un filme animado que se basa en los deseos y en la felicidad de estos posee una paleta de colores bastante apagada y monótona, ese factor vibrante que se esperaría se encuentra completamente ausente, lo anterior va de la mano con su escenografía plana y carente de vida, algo bastante decepcionante y que deja mucho que desear.
The soundtrack is not bad, although it could have been better, when we talk about a film made by Disney, it is always expected that its music will stand out for one or several memorable pieces that give life to a scene and convey an interesting message. The problem with the present film is that that importance is not felt in this section, the musical choreographies lack that factor that makes them stand out and in more than one moment they are only moments that seem to have been introduced to burn time rather than to be interesting in themselves.
La banda sonora no está mal aunque pudo ser mejor, cuando hablamos de una película hecha por Disney siempre se espera que su música destaque por una o varias piezas memorables que den vida a alguna escena y que transmita algún mensaje interesante, el problema con el presente filme es que no se siente esa importancia en este apartado, las coreografías musicales carecen de ese factor que las haga destacar y en más de un momento solo son momentos que parecen haber sido introducidos para quemar tiempo más que para ser interesantes por sí mismos.
The construction of the world is strange, from the beginning it is established that the society that presents it enjoys joy due to the security they have thanks to their monarch, in addition, they have a certain level of hope that their wishes will come true in order to feel even more full, everything presented almost at a utopian level, the problem with this is that everything above begins to be perceived as bad only because the protagonist says so, the supposed unhappiness of the system that the main character proclaims is never evident beyond an isolated case , all this makes the construction feel sent to the trash, since its society is molded to what someone says and this collective discomfort and unhappiness is not shown as such until late in the film (Although the latter is also caused by the protagonist).
La construcción del mundo es extraña, desde el vamos se establece como la sociedad que plantea goza de alegría debido a la seguridad que tienen gracias a su monarca, además, tienen cierto nivel de esperanza en que sus deseos se hagan realidad para así sentirse aún más plenos, todo planteado casi a nivel utópico, el problema con esto es que todo lo anterior se empieza a percibir como malo únicamente porque la protagonista lo dice, nunca se evidencia la supuesta infelicidad del sistema que pregona el personaje principal más allá de un caso aislado, todo esto hace que la construcción se sienta mandada a la basura, puesto que su sociedad se moldea a lo que alguien dice y no se muestra como tal dicha incomodidad e infelicidad colectiva hasta avanzado el filme (Aunque esto último también es provocado por la protagonista).

Narratively it is dull and boring, there is really nothing remarkable in its writing, which at the end of the day makes it look like nonsense loaded with plot conveniences and things taken out of the blue. Fortunately, its duration is short, which means that this whole mess does not become too tedious, and this is what allows its mistakes not to shine as much.
La trama es un desastre con todas las de la ley, el problema recae sobre el hecho de que lo que se supone que impulse al filme se siente completamente artificial, a su vez, el hecho de que la cinta intente desesperadamente hacer ver al capricho de la protagonista como algo justificable solo lo hace aún peor, esto es sazonado con escasos momentos graciosos debido a que la mayoría son bastante patéticos. Narrativamente es sosa y aburrida, no tiene realmente nada destacable en su escritura, lo que al final del día la hace ver como un despropósito cargado de conveniencias argumentales y de cosas sacadas de la manga. Afortunadamente, su duración es poca, lo que hace que todo este desastre no se torne demasiado tedioso, y, esto mismo es lo que permite que sus errores no reluzcan tanto.

All this leaves us with the “villain”, it should be noted that from the beginning he is not a villain but an antihero, although his methods are somewhat questionable, his point is quite valid and logical because he justifies his position and actions in a good way. At the same time, he is the only character who has a background that gives even more meaning to what he does, also having a certain degree of trauma due to the misfortunes he experienced in the past, his clear paranoia and fear are what lead him to commit various amoral acts that will lead him on a path of no return to madness and darkness.
Este es sin lugar a dudas el peor apartado del filme, su protagonista es lo más olvidable que se les pueda ocurrir, de esta no se conoce absolutamente nada más allá de su nombre y una personalidad casi inexistente, esto hace que su deseo por “mejorar” su reino y salvarlo de algo “injusto” solo se sienta como un capricho de los guionistas más que como algo justificable y honorable, el resto de personajes es incluso peor debido a la nula exposición que tienen. Todo esto nos deja con el “villano” cabe destacar que desde el inicio no es un villano sino un antihéroe, si bien sus métodos son algo cuestionables su punto es bastante válido y lógico debido a que justifica de buena forma su postura y sus acciones, a su vez, es el único personaje que tiene un trasfondo que da aún más sentido a lo que hace, teniendo además cierto grado de trauma por las desgracias que vivió en el pasado, su clara paranoia y miedo son los que lo orillan a cometer diversos actos amorales que lo llevaran a un camino sin retorno a la locura y a la oscuridad.

Como pueden apreciar el antihéroe, atraviesa diferentes facetas que lo transforman en un antagonista hasta derivar en ser un villano, estas metamorfosis lo hace mucho más complejo que la protagonista, puesto que si se analiza en profundidad está claro que es una víctima que otra cosa, cabe destacar nuevamente que su punto de “No todos los deseos deben cumplirse debido a que no todos son bondadosos” es sumamente razonable y plausible, pese a que el pedorro filme quiera hacer ver lo contrario.
Wish is one of the dullest films I have ever seen from Disney, it lacks that reflective magic that leads to introspection for children and adults alike, its characters are completely dull and the only one who has real elements that make him interesting is underappreciated and driven to madness just to prove the protagonist right, the fact that his scenery is boring and that his choreographies are completely forgettable does not help him at all. It is for all of the above that it deserves 1.5 stars out of 7, it is sad that the film that commemorates the 100 years of a company is so regrettable and so poorly made.
Wish es uno de los filmes más sosos que haya visto de Disney, carece de esa magia reflexiva que lleve a la introspección a niños y adultos por igual, sus personajes son completamente sosos y el único que tiene verdaderos elementos que lo hacen interesante es menospreciado y llevado a la locura solo por darle la razón a la protagonista, el hecho de que su escenografía sea aburrida y que sus coreografías sean completamente olvidables no le ayuda en nada. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 1,5 estrella de 7, es triste que el filme que conmemora los 100 años de una compañía sea tan lamentable y este tan mal hecho.
