Admiro profundamente las personas que han sido bendecidos con un hijo Autista, aunque muchos no lo visualicen de esta manera, desde mi perspectiva pienso que a pesar de no ser personas con características semejantes al resto de la sociedad, te enseñan lo maravilloso que es su mundo azul, solo debes darle la oportunidad de que veas a través de sus ojos.
Tengo aproximadamente 12 años cumpliendo mi rol de docente y solo hasta el año anterior tuve el privilegio de trabajar con niños autistas y nos les voy a negar que por mucho tiempo esquive esta opción por no sentirme preparada, pero después de tener ciertos acercamientos a ellos me di cuenta que debía darme la oportunidad de romper ese estereotipo que yo misma estaba creando.
Siempre me pregunte ¿cómo puedo enseñarle Química a un niño con esta condición? debía buscar estrategias diferentes y clases más personalizadas y era justamente ello lo que me mantenía renuente a intentarlo. Por los momentos no he vivido tal experiencia, pero estoy dando clase de Biología y Ciencias Naturales y estas son áreas de formación más teóricas y tengo 2 casos, uno en primer año, donde el jovencito no escribe con mucha facilidad, por lo que no agarra mucho dictado, pero si copia de la pizarra y dibuja muy bien.
Sin embargo, tiene una habilidad oratoria muy buena y destacada, me hace unas exposiciones sobresalientes y por lo general utilizo esta estrategia a la hora de las evaluaciones, por lo que le he sugerido a otros colegas que también la apliquen. He descubierto que él es muy visual y que le gustan los videos interactivos para prepararse sobre un contenido en específico, por lo que también utilizo esta estrategia para obtener con mayor facilidad resultados positivos en sus competencias.
Hace un tiempo estaba dando mi clase, era una actividad practica donde los chicos debían realizar experimentos y de acuerdo a sus observaciones llevar un registro y contestar preguntas de un material fotocopiado, él estaba trabajando con un grupo, pero pensé que estaba ausente porque no interactuaba con ellos, por lo que decidí acercarme a él y realizarle algunas preguntas sobre el tema y fue allí cuando una vez más me sorprendió al responderme sin mucho titubeo cada una de mis interrogantes, todos hicieron un silencio absoluto para poder escucharlo.
He podido evidenciar que mi materia le gusta mucho a pesar de ser muy teórica, pero en gran parte es porque trabajo desde el punto de vista de la contextualización del contenido, con los meses que han transcurrido me he podido ganar su respeto y cariño, al punto que en el segundo momento pedagógico me regalo un porquecito, elaborado por el para su presentación en la materia de CRP.
De igual manera sucede con el otro joven, el cursa segundo año y como todos saben la Biología de este año es muy larga, estamos hablando de las diferentes partes del cuerpo humano, él toma dictado, aunque se cansa mucho, tiene algunas dificultades en el habla, pero de igual manera expone sorprendente mente, siempre da más de lo que se le está pidiendo en sus intervenciones.
Mi tema no es su favorito por lo extenso que es, pero se esfuerza por lograr con mucho mérito sus habilidades, con ellas también he trabajado la parte de manualidades como lo fue la elaboración de las partes del oído con plastilina.
Finalmente mis queridos amigos y lectores en general no nos neguemos a interactuar con personas autistas, les aseguro que son seres extraordinarios que nos pueden enseñar una forma diferente y muy sincera de ver la vida, porque si algo los caracteriza a ellos es la honestidad y transparencia con la que se expresan, por ello sé que a pesar de mi inexperiencia he logrado obtener un lugar especial en la vida de mis estudiantes y eso me motiva cada día más para esforzarme y brindarles una mejor calidad en el proceso educativo.
Nunca es tarde para concientizar sobre el autismo, siempre debemos tener la mayor disposicion para incluir a todos los que presentan esta condicion, la decision es solo de cada uno de ustedes si quieren sumar a un asana convivencia o una piedra de tropiezo al avancr social. I deeply admire people who have been blessed with an Autistic child, although many do not visualize it this way, from my perspective I think that despite not being people with similar characteristics to the rest of society, they show you how wonderful their blue world is, you just have to give them the opportunity to see through their eyes.
I have approximately 12 years fulfilling my role as a teacher and only until last year I had the privilege of working with autistic children and I will not deny that for a long time I avoided this option because I did not feel prepared, but after having certain approaches to them I realized that I had to give myself the opportunity to break the stereotype that I was creating.
I always wondered how can I teach chemistry to a child with this condition? I had to look for different strategies and more personalized classes and that was exactly what kept me reluctant to try. At the moment I have not lived such an experience, but I am teaching Biology and Natural Sciences and these are more theoretical areas of formation and I have 2 cases, one in the first year, where the young boy does not write very easily, so he does not take dictation very well, but he does copy from the blackboard and draws very well.
However, he has a very good and outstanding oratory ability, he gives me some outstanding presentations and I usually use this strategy at the time of evaluations, so I have suggested to other colleagues that they also apply it. I have found that he is very visual and likes interactive videos to prepare him for specific content, so I also use this strategy to more easily obtain positive results in his competencies.

Finally my dear friends and readers in general, let us not refuse to interact with autistic people, I assure you that they are extraordinary beings who can teach us a different and very sincere way of seeing life, because if something characterizes them is the honesty and transparency with which they express themselves, so I know that despite my inexperience I have managed to get a special place in the lives of my students and that motivates me every day more to strive and provide a better quality in the educational process.
It is never too late to raise awareness about autism, we must always have the greatest willingness to include all those who have this condition, the decision is only up to each one of you if you want to add a coexistence asana or a stumbling block to social progress.
