Today I was in a town not far from here for some errands, while I was waiting for my husband who brought the car here to the mechanic I decided to take a trip nearby and luckily the center was not far away, the mechanic gave me the directions and so I set off on foot. Agliana is divided by the Brana torrent, which is why the mechanic told me it is a very humid city. As soon as I arrived in the center I immediately understood that Agliana is mostly made up of suburbs and that however it is in the central streets that shops, markets and restaurants are concentrated, the main square is very large and is surmounted by the main church of Agliana, the of San Piero, a medieval church resting on a pavement that has always been at the center of city life. I really appreciate churches, they always fascinate me but unfortunately the church was closed and I could only admire it from the outside.

Hoy estuve en un pueblo no muy lejos de aquí haciendo unos recados, mientras esperaba a mi marido que trajera el auto aquí al mecánico decidí hacer un viaje cerca y por suerte el centro no estaba lejos, el mecánico me dio el direcciones y entonces me puse en camino a pie. The square was semi-deserted so I could admire the place in peace, too bad it was lunch time and many bars were closed, I would have really enjoyed having a coffee in this small square. There is also a very pretty fountain which I was told always freezes in winter. Agliana is a good base because it is close to many cities, you can quickly reach Pistoia, Florence and Prato. In the main square there is also the modern theater, the only one in Agliana, this town is also famous for the festival of the districts and for the peasant festivals, before it was a peasant town due to its geographical situation, with the stream in the middle and another river in the same valley, now it is a quiet town made up mostly of houses and a few shops in the centre, it is a place where I wouldn't mind living because it is a good area in many respects, my short walk was pleasant.

La plaza estaba semi desierta así que pude admirar el lugar tranquilamente, lástima que era hora de comer y muchos bares estaban cerrados, me hubiera gustado mucho tomar un café en esta pequeña plaza. También hay una fuente muy bonita que, según me dijeron, siempre se congela en invierno. Agliana es una buena base porque está cerca de muchas ciudades, se puede llegar rápidamente a Pistoia, Florencia y Prato. En la plaza principal también se encuentra el teatro moderno, el único en Agliana, este pueblo también es famoso por las fiestas de los barrios y por las fiestas campesinas, antes era un pueblo campesino por su situación geográfica, con el arroyo en el medio y otro rio en el mismo valle, ahora es un pueblo tranquilo formado mayoritariamente por casas y algunos comercios en el centro, es un lugar donde no me importaría vivir porque es una buena zona en muchos aspectos, Mi breve paseo fue agradable.
