EN-PT Destination Mendoza AR: Buenos Aires

in Worldmappin4 months ago

Welcome, fellow Hivers! It is with great pleasure that I am on vacation from work, and from Hive as well.

But a real vacation requires a minimum of effort to record the moments that will last forever.

So this is another post in a series of posts entitled Destination Mendoza where I will be traveling through Argentina for the second time.

Day 2 - August 15

On this day we traveled from my city of Puerto Iguazu to Buenos Aires

We woke up early and enjoyed the early breakfast provided by the hotel, without any commitments.

There was no time to check out the airport shops because we were already boarding.

The company Flybondi took us to Buenos Aires on an excellent flight, the best of my life.

We bought a cell phone chip at the kiosk inside the airport and went straight to a Western Union station to withdraw money that had been sent in advance. The exchange rate fluctuates a lot and it's best to be prepared!

Right after that we used Uber to go to the Chino neighborhood, where we spent the morning shopping and eating sweets.

We decided to have Korean food for lunch, which we don't normally have access to. We tried it for the first time and the review was positive! Tender meat, lots of seasoning, and a touch of spice!

Jieyuk: interesting! marinated deer

The place called Bairro Chino consists of three streets of imported goods stores, which repeat themselves. There is not a great variety.

The culinary options are interesting and there is much more variety. It is worth visiting for this reason.

Our tour of the Pink House was once again only external. It has not been possible to visit the inside for some time now.

Pink House

The Cathedral right next door has a very beautiful interior design and we took the opportunity to listen to part of the mass. It is a wonderful place, which reflects very well the wealth of the church, and how it was built to the detriment of the poverty around it. The cathedral has three pipe organs. I had the opportunity to hear two of them play.

At Puente de la Mujer, you can see a beautiful view of the battleship docked in the port. It is now a museum. It is worth visiting the inside and the entrance fee is symbolic.

We walked around Puerto Madero because the area is full of bars and restaurants. The kids decided to eat pizza, so we went with it.

Pizzaria Popular, a great option in Puerto Madero.

We are food critics specializing in pizzas and risottos. We can evaluate the dough and ingredients calmly, because we have our own well-defined quality standards.

We prefer to accept that the pizza was very good for the price range of the location. We had difficulty understanding the language when they asked us whether we would prefer oregano or basil on the Margherita pizza. Basil, of course!

This region is very beautiful and lively, the nightlife is special, it is definitely worth visiting!

Summary of the day:

  • We woke up in Puerto Iguazú
  • We slept in Buenos Aires

Resumo do dia:

  • Acordamos em Puerto Iguazú
  • Dormimos em Buenos Aires
  • Passeios: Arco Chino, Plaza de Mayo, Catedral, Casa Rosada, Puente de la Mujer, Puerto Madero.

Yesterday we talked about inflation... and what about tickets for transport, in particular for planes... their price fluctuates very quickly? !MEME

It depends a lot on how in a hurry the traveler is. Money buys time, sometimes.
