Hello dear friends!

A few weeks ago, with @genesisledger and two friends, we were in Corsica. And we went on a great boat trip to discover the coast. đŸ›„ïž

And today, I'm going to tell you all about our boat trip and show you Corsica from the sea.

Well, the story begins with a little hitch. We had originally booked a 2.5-hour boat trip at sunset with an aperitif on board, but unfortunately our reservation was cancelled as there weren't enough people in the same slot.

In short, we were entitled to the big 4.5 hour ride, for the same price, so we're happy!

The boat was a small semi-shaded boat with 12 seats.

We first sailed for 30 minutes before reaching the start of our ride.

Then the guide made many stops to explain to us the formation of the rocks, the different rules in this region, tell us about the different fish that can be found in these waters, the depth, the mountains, etc.

The little red dots are anemones.

We discovered the Calanques de Piana and we had the chance to stop for a swim in a superb cove. The water was so beautiful: turquoise!

We swam with the fish you can see in the photos! It was a great experience that I won’t soon forget. đŸ€©

We also discovered the Scandola reserve and its very special rocks.

And we were also lucky enough to see an Osprey (or bird of prey, that is call balbuzard in french) nest with a baby inside. However, as it is a protected species, it is forbidden to approach within 200 meters. Wonderful !

niz balbuzard.png

The nest looks like a large pile of branches, but when you look closely, you can see a small white head sticking out.

We also made a short 30-minute stop in the village of Girolata. It is a village accessible only on foot (by a walk of more than 2.5 hours) or by boat.

And there, it was a total change of scenery! We would have thought we were on Reunion Island.

It was quite funny, there were cows on the little beach. Obviously, we went to say hello to them!

And then we took a short 15 minute walk. 👇

In short, this village was really very nice to discover!

And after that, we returned to the port of Sagone. Passing through the small port of CargĂšse to fill up with fuel, moreover, given the price and the number of liters of fuel that were put in the boat, we would not have liked to pay the bill haha â€‹â€‹đŸ€Ł

We made lots of beautiful memories!

And to end the day in style, we enjoyed a bit of the beach:

Have you also ever had the opportunity to take a boat trip and swim with the fish? If not, well, I highly recommend it!

See you soon,
Johanna

Johanna
