Friends from other countries [ENG/ESP]

Greetings!

I've read many articles about people's lifestyles while traveling, especially visiting other countries, and I am always amazed at how effortlessly they seem to do it, as if it's as simple as walking from room to parlour. Come on, over here in my country, visiting other countries requires a significant amount of money for visas and transportation. Even visiting neighboring countries is expensive. Maybe it seems like a big deal to me because I don't have that kind of money yet. Lol

So yeah, I haven't visited any other country except virtually, because I read a lot about other places and have friends outside the country too. Speaking of friends in other countries, I think there are just two or three that I relate with very well, who tell me about their lifestyle and experiences.

The first is a lady who used to fellowship at my church here in Nigeria. After a while, she stopped attending, and I didn’t bother to ask about her much because, honestly, following the lives of ladies can be so funny. One day, out of the blue, she messaged me on WhatsApp with all sorts of questions about why no one from the church asked after her. I was dumbfounded! When I asked how she was doing and where she was, she said she was currently in Dubai. I didn’t believe her at first, so we did a video call, and I made her go outside so I could see the environment. Of course, Dubai's weather and environment can’t be compared to Nigeria's; the difference is always striking. From then on, we started talking more often, and I learned a lot about her life there.

The second person is someone I met on the Blockchain. Initially, I thought this person was a guy because of the way she mastered chemistry, but after we started talking, I found out she's a woman living in South Africa. South Africa and Nigeria are both in Africa, but I was shocked to learn how different our lifestyles are. Many things that are common here in Nigeria don’t exist there—especially palm wine, lol.

@humbe and I talk a lot and share these differences, and there isn't a stage that goes by without me learning something new about life in her country that seems strange to me. The funny thing is that she knows Nigerian food very well, and I was shocked when she said she had eaten a popular Nigerian dish in the country she's currently residing in. I was pretty pained because, even though I'm in Nigeria, I’ve never tasted that dish! Lol.

We talk about many things, and it's through her that I learned South Africans have distinct accents, which I later recognized in a movie. And football? At least I get to banter with her about how poor South African teams are, always.

Thanks for reading!

Me quedé estupefacta.

Lol... I was going to say you think travelling out is a big deal because most Nigerians are low income earners but you said it already 😂. God will not shame us in this country. You need to see how my friend in Manchester is balling, always on the move to different cities.... Someone that Sapa wanted to kill while in Nigeria. Sha God will come through for all of us 🥹.

So Kingsley, in your village men are the only ones that have head for science abi?

So Kingsley, in your village men are the only ones that have head for science abi?

@bipolar95 good question. I will wait here with you for the answer.

Haha, interesting username. 😅

Let me get us a bottle of wine while we wait 🍷🍾 😁... He must provide the answer in nothing less than a thousand words...

My username is always sparking interest... Thanks 😂

Oh yes wine is a good idea..
Lol 1000 words - I think he ran away😅.

@kingsleyy why are you running! We need answers. 🤨

You!
Do you know chemistry???

Yes! 😑

Lol😅
She knows the truth when it comes to ladies in Nigeria. None of them want the stress that chemical, mathematics or engineering bring😅

Honestly!
Our earning pattern here is so Krazy and makes us see foreigners as if they're plucking money from trees.

So Kingsley, in your village men are the only ones that have head for science abi?

As if you don't know and how they like to avoid anything science, chemical, mathematical or engineering related😅.

Thank you for stopping by. I took time to reply this due to laziness
!luv

South Africa and Nigeria might be in Africa but the difference is clear o...... don't get it twisted at all 😂

Yeahh, there's a whole lot of differences.
I used to think we're one😅.
Thank you for stopping by

At least I get to banter with her about how poor South African teams are, always.

I see you don’t like peace, Kingsleyy—why are we using the plural now? Teams? I thought we agreed that Banyana Banyana is better...😊

At least we have the best rugby team in the world with 4 World Cups... But no stress, we can all brag, because that makes Africa the best of the 7 continents 😅.

!Lolz 😂😂😂
I should have added music to the list to sharpen the pain😂.

Yeah, rugby, that's the only thing they can boast of and don't get tired.

Thank you!🙌

I should have added music to the list to sharpen the pain😂.

Admittedly most of the music hit really good and I get most of my cardio workout from Nigerian beats. But calm down Kingsleyy - Let's not forget we still invented Amapiono music kudos to Nigeria for polishing it. 😊

We can't be best in everything that's why we are sending Nigeria to represent us in Football and we will represent the continent in Rugby and inventing new music genre.😆

Nigeria now owes the African continent 4 football world cup better bring one back in 2026 no excuse.😅

It's the way you admitted the Amapiano polishing 😅. For a lot of people, they don't know Amapiano is from South Africa. It's not everyone that Google to know things 😅

Nigeria now owes the African continent 4 football world cup better bring one back in 2026 no excuse.

I read this many times but still can't comprehend... you don't know anything about football. Go and Google well😅.
Or maybe you're refering to your "world cup" thing 😅

you don't know anything about football. Go and Google well😅.

Indeed! I don't know much about football - that's why I'm a Bafana Bafana supporter, Super Eagles fan, Black Stars follower and a die-hard Indomitable Lions cheerleader. Yep you got it right- I celebrate goals from either side.😏

maybe you're refering to your "world cup" thing 😅

I guess if we boast about rugby, the bar is too high to expect wins at the World Cup level. Okay, fine, we can lower the bar to AFCON and celebrate the historical three AFCON titles Nigeria has so far. Let's not forget you've only witnessed one - uhh mmm the rest happened before you were even born. Lol.😅

Without geometry...
Life is pointless.
