Pront: The end of the empire.
When I think about this topic, I remember a lot of the time from 1900, until 1950, which is when the great European empires began to decline and were losing their economic and military hegemony, which is what led the world to the First World War and later to the Second War.
At that time, the main power was the Great Britain, which meant that in the world, the reserve and reference currency was the British Pound, a situation that changed after the Second World War, when the United States displaced the European powers in the West, becoming the first military and economic power in the world, even saving the European economy with the European Recovery Program, known worldwide as the Marshall Plan.
Now, if we look at the situations that arose in the above-mentioned years, we will realize that the empires of that time were in an enormous competition for markets, in addition to their confrontation, to maintain their power in the political axes that they had under their tutelage and where they were losing influence, not only because of competition, but because of the birth of new powers that entered with great force to compete with the powers already established on equal terms.
All this, in a big way, led to two major world conflicts and a subsequent division of the world into two major blocs. However, for different reasons, one of these power blocs ceased to exist in the 90s, leaving the United States of America, as the dominant great power politically, militarily and technologically.
But now, we see the birth of different political, military and economic blocs, which are facing the unipolar policy of the USA. USA. We also see how different blocs of countries are breaking or trying to break with the predominance of the dollar in their economy, and we see how more and more countries are facing the policies and sanctions imposed by the US. USA. And the E.U.
In addition, the world can see the huge economic problems that are developing in the USA. USA., added to its financing of wars in Europe and the Middle East, together with the contempt earned by the government of that until now only great power, with its positions and its refusal to peace plans before the UN and its position on the destruction of the European economy.
Anyway, we are in a situation very similar to the first half of the last century, where empires in decline went to war in order not to lose their level of hegemony. At present, we are seeing, although we are not aware of it, the fall and decline of the US-dominated empire. The U.S. and its Western followers, along with the loss of the dollar's dominance as the world's reserve currency.
In short, we are going through the repetition of a historical cycle again, but with a change of protagonists, and very possibly it will repeat a few years later again if we do not change our vision and our understanding of the world.
Let's hope so, that with the fall of this empire and everything it represents on a political, cultural, scientific, economic, military and technological level, among other things, we will not end up reaching a third world war.

Pront: El fin del imperio.
Cuando pienso sobre este tema, recuerdo mucho la época de 1900, hasta 1950, que es cuando los granes imperios europeos comienzan a entrar en decadencia y van perdiendo su hegemonía económica y militar, que es lo que llevó al mundo a la Primera Guerra Mundial y posteriormente a la Segunda Guerra.
En esos tiempos, la principal potencia era la Gran Bretaña, lo que significaba que en el mundo, la moneda de reserva y de referencia era la Libra Esterlina, situación que cambió después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, cuando los Estados Unidos desplaza en occidente a las potencias europeas, convirtiéndose en la primera potencia militar y económica del mundo, inclusive, salvando la economía Europea con el Programa Europeo de Recuperación, conocido mundialmente como el Plan Marshall.
Ahora bien, si vemos las situaciones que se presentaron en los años arriba mencionados, nos daremos cuenta, que los imperios de ese momento estaban en una enorme competencia por los mercados, además de su enfrentamiento, por mantener su poder en los ejes políticos que tenían bajo su tutela y donde perdían influencia, no solo por la competencia, sino por el nacimiento de nuevas potencias que entraban con gran fuerza a competir con los poderes ya establecidos en igualdad de condiciones.
Todo eso, en gran modo, nos llevó a dos grandes conflictos mundiales y ha una posterior división del mundo en dos grandes bloques. Sin embargo, por diferentes razones, uno de esos bloques de poder dejó de existir en los años 90, dejando a los Estados Unidos de América, como la gran potencia dominante a nivel político, militar y tecnológico.
Pero ahora, vemos el nacimiento de diferentes bloques políticos, militares y económicos, que se enfrentan a la política unipolar de los EE. UU., vemos también como diferentes bloques de países rompen o intentan romper con el predominio del dólar en su economía y vemos, como cada vez más países enfrentan las políticas y las sanciones de impuestas por los EE. UU. y la U.E.
Además, el mundo puede ver los enormes problemas económicos que se están desarrollando en los EE. UU., sumado a su financiamiento de guerras en Europa y el Medio Oriente, unido al desprecio que se gana el gobierno de esa hasta ahora única gran potencia, con sus posturas y su negativa a los planes de paz ante la ONU y su posición en la destrucción de la economía Europea.
En fin, nos encontramos en una situación muy parecida, a la primera mitad del siglo pasado, donde los imperios en decadencia fueron a la guerra para no perder su nivel de hegemonía. En la actualidad, estamos viendo, aunque no tengamos consciencia de ello, la caída y la decadencia del imperio dominado por los EE.UU y sus seguidores de occidente, junto a la pérdida del dominio del dólar como moneda de reserva mundial.
En fin, estamos pasando nuevamente por la repetición de un ciclo histórico, pero con un cambio de protagonistas, y muy posiblemente se repita unos años más adelante de nuevo si no cambiamos nuestra visión y nuestro entendimiento del mundo.
Esperemos sí, que con la caída de este imperio y todo lo que representa a nivel político, cultural, científico, económico, militar y tecnológico, entre otras cosas, no terminemos llegando a una tercera guerra mundial.
