It feels good to sit back in my chair, it has been a good but long day. After waking we loaded the back of my husband's truck with gifts and drove to Vero.

We went to one daughter's house to exchange gifts and have breakfast. This little guy got a grill for Christmas, you can see it in the background, I asked if he would cook me something. He did his eyes like this and told me no, but he might later. Later he came rolling the grill over to me, lit it with his play lighter, and put a hot dog on it for me. When he took the hot dog off, he put it on a fake bun and used fake ketchup and mustard on it for me. I know, I am his grandma and biased, but he is too cute.

From there we went to the oldest daughter's house where she fixed a ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans. She also made a cheesecake and an apple pie. Being there was bittersweet. Her dog is 14 years old and has a hard mass on her left back hip. She usually only eats a special kind of dog food but today we gave her lots of ham and loving. She goes to the vet tomorrow and I am afraid she will not come home and my daughter is going to be so heartbroken.

My Dad left me these pieces of eight, they are Spanish coins from the 1715 shipwrecks. One of my sisters asked if I would give her a silver coin. She wants to have it put on a chain for a necklace. I don't want to give one up but I can not tell her no. I worry about her taking it somewhere and them switching it with a fake. Years ago my Dad took his Grandfather's pocket watch to a jeweler to have it fixed and they stole all of the jewels out of it. Dad was so mad.

That's all for today, I am tired. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and if you do not celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a Merry Good Day.

Yes, we grandmas are a bit prejudiced about how cute our grandkids are, but I have to agree with you about yours! I love the games they play with play food. My daughter got a play kitchen set for her daughter for Christmas, but I don't know if she has had a chance to assemble it yet. I got her a tin tea set with unicorns and rainbows (she chose that pattern), so we had a little tea party with apple juice this morning.

Your Granddaughter will one day share her memories of serving you tea one day with her children, that is what it is all about.
His little grill is like something I had never seen, when you click the lighter, it is just like the long ones we would use, it will make the grill supposedly make a "fire" sound and a red light lights up under the coals. Technology is in everything.
