This is my post for #freewriters 2518 prompt punctured football hosted by @mariannewest
Right now we have a Cat5 storm heading our way, but it is supposed to die down as it gets closer to land. It will still be a major storm but a Cat3 when it hits and a Cat1 by the time it gets to us. That is what they say at the moment.

In between rain squalls today we tried to get a few things done, I could have put my raingear on and got more done, but

I wanted to make banana bread. We had 3 bunches of bananas get ripe at one time, I think tomorrow I will make a banana cake.

The bananas that I made the bread from are called Burror or something like that, I have always called them what the old timers said they were, horse bananas. These are Darwf Cavendish, we have only had one stalk from these and they were good, but now we have a bloom and a stalk being made. I think we will lose both of these.

My husband decided to dig out the shutters because when he stayed here by himself in Hurricane Irma he said things were hitting the trailer windows. I imagine what was hitting the windows were sticks and pine cones. In a 75mph wind, a pine cone would sound like a punctured football being thrown at it.

The storm is not going to hit us until Thursday at 3 in the morning and we are already flooded. I am glad areca palms like water.

I moved my little pineapple plants out of the water and my Grandson is coming later tonight to stay with me so I will get him to help me move my big pineapples.

image.png
I do not know where I am going to put the big pineapples and the ones that have fruit,

We grew this tree from a sea bean that we picked up on the beach, it has been planted for 5 years and this is the first year it has bloomed.

image.png
I guess it will be next year to see if we will get any nuts from it because I am sure that all of the blooms will be blown away. :(

They don't get any prettier than this. The weathermen say 160 winds but when they flew the plane into it, the plane reported 180 to 200mph.
Unless stated photos are mine

Wow, I hope Milton passes you by! I can't imagine winds like that.

It got worse for us today, it made a drop to the south which is going to give us the bad side of it. Good for Tampa and bad for Fort Myers. No matter where it goes, it will be bad for someone.

Unfortunately, that's true.
