I have never understood what my husband's reason is for doing this. He will not ask me to help him, he expects me to hear him cussing at something and I am to know to come help him.
Twenty-five or more years ago I told the man that if he needs my help with something just ask me and I will help him, I am not coming to you if I hear you cussing, I am walking the other way.
I know he can ask for help because one day he was working on his truck at his sister's house and she was sitting next to me and he asked her, not me, to help him with something, so I know he can do it.
Today I was in the kitchen cutting up star fruit and he was working on one of the kitchen drawers and the cussing began, I kept cutting the fruit until he asked me if I would help him. I walked over there and stood waiting for my orders and he got mad because I was not helping, he was already mad because he had to ask. I said to him how am I to know what to do if you do not tell me, that just pissed him off, and by now I am also getting testy.
He tells me to take the flashlight, I stand there waiting for him to hand me the flashlight because he is holding a drill. He says take it!! I say it is not a flashlight IT IS A DRILL. He says, TAKE IT. it has a light on it.
Maybe I would kneel for the king but the king has to learn to ask nicely and hold the right tool.
