There was no way to squeeze past the crowded doorway.
"Excuse me," her mouse-like voice uttered.
Nobody budged. The customers were giddy, and too excited to hear.
"Excuse me," she said again. Nobody paid attention.
"Excuse me!" She screamed, just as the crowd fell silent.
Her supervisor looked appalled.
I miss the weekly Zapfic's that would typically take place in the Freewriters community, but, it's been a while since the last one was released. So, without a particular prompt in mind, I decided to just go for it and see what happened.
Creating a short piece of fiction, and fitting it into a 50-word perimeter is a good challenge, and is good for the mind too, I have a tendency to over-writer, in some cases, so it's nice being able to reel it in and keep it within a strict limit.
