There was a zapfic released yesterday, that uses the prompt word 'Robotics' which I thought would be a great one to come up with an interesting little story.

The engineer flicked a switch.
Sparks flew, smoke billowed. A large bang kicked the iron scrap to life.
"What is my prime objective?" it engaged its motor-functions.
"Beautiful." Head of development drooled. "It'll be a war machine."
The engineer took a look at his creation. "Kill everyone but me."
I say it often, but I'll say it again. I love these small zapfic stories, my favourite being this one, the zapfic 50, which I always find easier to write a concise short story; as opposed to the 240-character ones, which always tend to be more difficult.
