Hello @bipolar95. Your story brings back memories of my childhood also with the telephone booths on almost every corner. And the waiting in line to use it is also familiar. Some people would linger on, and you are forced to listen to their conversation as the booths were not closed in. However, they are not obsolete, gone from all the street corners. If you do find one, it's badly damaged with graffiti or just torn up with individuals vandalizing them.
It's sad the management of the railway allowed people to access the train without paying. It's unfair to the paying customers, unless there is some arrangement for a free fare.
