RE: Memory Lane and Wishful Thinking - A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Word

in Freewriters11 months ago

Hello @bipolar95. Your story brings back memories of my childhood also with the telephone booths on almost every corner. And the waiting in line to use it is also familiar. Some people would linger on, and you are forced to listen to their conversation as the booths were not closed in. However, they are not obsolete, gone from all the street corners. If you do find one, it's badly damaged with graffiti or just torn up with individuals vandalizing them.

It's sad the management of the railway allowed people to access the train without paying. It's unfair to the paying customers, unless there is some arrangement for a free fare.

Thanks for sharing. Nice read. Take care.

Awww... Thank you for walking down memory lane with me 🥰. People tend to move on quickly and neglect what doesn't serve them, that's why we have no choice than to always innovate or get left behind.

We have got lot's of free riders in my country who only want to benefit from public goods even at the expense of the government. Sometimes you'd get a ticket and won't even see space to go to your seat as the train is overcrowded. I wish the officials could do their jobs properly and coordinate their activities.

Freeloaders abound in every country, I fear. It's a sad fact of life. It seems as if government at all levels have abandoned the quest to put a stop or curve the practice.

I understand the frustration sometimes when trying to get things done the right way, and others block your access.

Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your engagement. Take care.
