Nothing to show forth
The filthiness of man
Uncertainty of his future
Cramming ahead of time
So viking a rule that is not
Changing level without knowing
Making a jest of himself
Failures upon failures
Time after time
None to help
No one will
No one came near
He sank deeper than an anchor
Sent to the dark
In wrong thought he lay
Depressed and languishing
Provided he knew his strength
...
...
Maybe he would have gone shallow
Call for help, make friends
Maybe he would have seen a counsellor
Tell him it will be better
A black man can be white
The Ku Klux Khan won't hunt him down
Neither forcefully accused for nothing
As he bask in innocence
In a drug filled street
Counting time in prison
Waiting for his parole to end
An unending cycle of sorrow
To part no more with joy
The longing was real
The yearning was not.
...
...
Deprived children won't cry
They've done that once and for all
Sad and lower in esteem
Never raising there head for anyone
Calmly shedding the tears
Waiting for the day
A kind Jesus will come save
A barren home will want a kid
Maybe that will help
But it never did.
