A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words the fear of the new even when the past is broken / el miedo de lo nuevo aun cuando el pasado este averiado

ENGLISH VERSION

WHAT IS WHAT I SEE: An old car that is damaged and can no longer drive, and the men next to it apparently want to fix it.

WHAT IS WHAT I FEEL: The old thing that wants to remain in force and many times that stops us from experiencing new and better things.

Custom is a creature that grabs you so tight
blinding to the new times that bring beauties
even when the old is in chaos and collapse
We hold on without seeing the change of happy air

Spend your time cruising in a degraded car for moments
dancing the new air that brings the oxygen that gives laughter
thinking about that cart of old wandering habits
there will be the joy that dances in our expectant life
without thinking that on new roads we will reach the rivers
drinking the waters of prosperous changing happiness

Never cling to a life without wonderful changes
because life and joys will be greater in the changes
looking to enter your life to enter like a fresh river
You can only find it when you change the old ship for the new one.

Nice one. Sometimes the old ones are a eeal treasure no matter what the condition is. That is why it is told old is gold

The old is gold and should be appreciated in its proper measure but my poem is not to cling in such a way that we do not give ourselves the opportunity to try new things

That was evident from the poem

A beautiful poet, could relate to every lines😌
Thanks for sharing❤

Thank you, the poems are like gentle caresses or they can also be strong, making you wake up like a slap in the face.

gracias

Why not hold on something old if it's a beauty?

Thank you for joining pic1000 👍

It is also true that what is old can be useful but we should try to have a balance or try to be too attached to the old or old ways of doing things because it prevents us from finding new things that could improve life.

Nor discard the old, which preserves its beauty and possible usefulness and lessons that we can also use to advance.
