The biggest change that influenced gameplay in Splinterlands was the introduction of the Modern and Wild formats. This split allowed players to choose between a more competitive, streamlined experience with newer cards in the Modern format or the expansive Wild format that includes all cards.

For Splinterlands, one of the best changes was the consistent introduction of new rulesets and new abilities, which enhances the gameplay.
