Greetings friends who love handmade crafts! I welcome you to my DC DIY workshop, this time we are going to make a doodle inspired by the Nectar Queen card. This time I wanted to add a degree of difficulty to my doodles and painted the character with wooden crayons. Join me to see the creative process.
For this project I used a sheet of white opaline cardstock and a sheet of black opaline cardstock, pencil, wood crayons, black gel pen 0.5 millimeter tip, sheet of paper, white tempera and paintbrush, white liquid chalk.
I started by drawing a picture of a bee. My idea was to make the bee flying over some flowers, like the original card. I wanted to use both sheets of cardstock to make a monochromatic design.
After I had my sketch drawing, I started painting the eye from the inside out. Keeping in mind that I needed light and shadow, I highlighted more color in the shadow parts and left very light spaces in the light.
I continued painting the legs with the same care as the eye.
I proceeded with the body where I gave it a base of yellow, orange and brown and then with the black color I made the fur.
Once the bee was finished, I made some honeycombs in the corners of both cardboards and filled them with the Zentangle technique, in the white cardboard with the black pen and in the black cardboard with the white chalk.
At the bottom of both cards I made some simple flowers that I also filled with the Zentangle technique (dots and lines).
And this is how my fanart turned out.
I had a lot of fun doing this project, it took me 1 hour and a half to paint the bee and then the details half an hour more.

Garabateando Splinterlands: Fan art Nectar Queen con crayones de madera y la técnica de Zentangle
¡Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Les doy la bienvenida a mi taller Bricolaje DC, en esta oportunidad vamos a hacer un garabato inspirado en la carta Nectar Queen. Esta vez quise agregar un grado de dificultad a mis garabatos y pinté el personaje con crayones de madera. Acompáñenme a ver el proceso creativo.
Para este proyecto utilicé una hoja de cartulina opalina de color blanco y una hoja de cartulina opalina de color negro, lápiz, crayones de madera, bolígrafo de gel de color negro punta 0.5 milímetros, hoja de papel, tempera de color blanco y pincel, tiza líquida de color blanco.
Comencé haciendo un dibujo de una abeja. Mi idea era hacer a la abeja volando sobre algunas flores, como la carta original. Quise utilizar ambas hojas de cartulina para hacer un diseño monocromático.
Luego de tener mi dibujo en boceto, comencé pintando el ojo desde adentro hacía afuera. Teniendo en cuenta que necesitaba luz y sombra , resaltaba mas el color en las partes de sombras y dejaba espacios muy claros en la luz.
Seguí pintando las patas con los mismos cuidados que el ojo.
Procedí con el cuerpo donde le di una base de color amarillo, naranja y marrón y luego con el color negro hice el pelaje.
Una vez terminada la abeja,hice unos panales en las esquinas de ambas cartulinas y los rellené con la técnica de Zentangle, en la cartulina blanca con el bolígrafo negro y en la cartulina negra con la tiza blanca.
En la parte inferior de ambas cartulinas hice unas flores simples que también rellené con la técnica de Zentangle (puntos y trazos de líneas).
Y así quedó mi fanart.
Me divertí mucho haciendo este proyecto, me tomó 1 hora y media pintar la abeja y luego los detalles media hora más.
